Official PAMFC Announcement

Postby Magpiespower » Mon Feb 20, 2006 3:27 pm

Just when you were all getting a little too excited for your own good...

The Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club would like to assure all members and supporters that the rumours currently circulating in relation to Jeremy Clayton are completely false and both the Club and Jeremy are very disappointed with the story and the mediums in which they are being circulated. Jeremy is very happy at the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club, has fully recovered from the injury sustained in last year’s finals and is very much looking forward to the being part of a successful Magpies team in 2006 and beyond.

Good to hear, even though he is from Port.

Hard to believe there was ever any truth in it.

Good to see Jeremy Clayton stay at the Maggies, even if it is only for one more season.

Who knows what he will do but if he only plays until the end of this season and that is the end of his contract than its hard to be critical. Great player, may even get a AFL opportunity at the end of the year.

Maybe next year will be AFL for him. Terry Wallace did want to draft him end of last year to Richmond but Clayton reclined due to his injury

He reclined due to his injury?

Must have been an impressive groin strain in that case, rather than a spleen...
