Port Adelaide recruits

Port adelaide have plucked a couple recruits from the West Coast, the rumour has it they should do well over there. Brad Keast from the Wayback football club is a tough, skillful key position player that has had problems with injury but if his body holds up could dominate the competition! Casey Carr is moving over permanently and is a speedy wingman and is all quality, should do well. Luke Schreiber is another to keep your eye out for, a reliable centrehalf back, in a few years if not drafted could be a 10 year player at the club! Christian Dorward is a tall, unlikely type, given time and quality mentoring could develop into a solid ruckman for the magpies. Any thoughts?

Good to see some young lads from Port's Eyre Peninsula zone going to the PAMFC after the club has lost out on a few EP recruits to other SANFL clubs in the past few years.

Will be interesting to see how Jay Shannon goes this year as well.

Casey Carr I would expect should push for senior selection this year. Dont know a whole lot about the others.

I believe, though I am not 100% certain, he is a younger brother.

They are all just young lads that have moved to Adelaide for Uni and will try out with Port. Any expectations on them at this stage should be of hope only. All need plenty of work and are just out of 17's footy here in Lincoln....

would expect most of these if not all to start in the u/19's this season with the possibility of most stepping up to the reserves mid year. I have followed Jay Shannon's progress very closely when playing in town the last 2 seasons and he hasn't exactly been BOG every game he has played. but he does have the talent.

Yes, I think leonidis may be a junior from Keasty's club, with very little idea on how good you have to be to even get a game of league football, much less dominate...

Maybe Leonidis is Tim Giniver, but ditto for the rest.

"Luke" Schreiber is actually Glen Schreiber who moved to Adelaide in the last couple of weeks together with Christian Dorward and these 2 are sharing a house with Luke Harder who played for Port Juniors last year and is another Port Lincoln lad.
Another lad to go from here besides Keasty is Corey Grove, a tall full forward
Good luck to them and hats off for having a go. There's definitely a bit of long term potential there with that lot.

Good to see the PAMFC continuing with their realigned recruiting structure with more emphasis placed on talent within their zone. The effort put into the West Coast in recent times has been tremendous and will be rewarded. None more important to them in this area than Tony Bamford

No not at all! Just don't know how he can make that comment without even seeing them play. What ego too big?

I dont know how you could make that comment if you had seen him play  I will look forward to him tearing the competition to pieces as I gaze on in wonder.

Players like Brad Ebert and Levi Greenwood had good 1st up seasons but didnt dominate the competition so these rookies would have to be something special to do so.

these boys may look like they have the goods to play league footy out in the country but in the city it is a different kettle of fish. I note with interest that on the EP thead in the regional leagues that some of these "gun" ( ) recruits have already been sent back to the u/19 sqaud so the work is in front of them if they want to star in league footy this season
