Aye, he was a great player Jimmy.
Thanks for the services Brett, you assisted the club in lifting the old Thomas Seymour for the thirteenth time and we cannot ask more than that.
I hope you don't mind that we'll be lifting it again in your absence in the very near future, 'cause we are a proud club and though things aren't so bad now, it is when we look our worse that we become most dangerous. We have nothing to fear.
GO YOU MIGHTY BLUES!

I know Brett Howman is very close friends with Xavier Campbell who returned to Echuca last season. It seems the X-man has been doing some 'recruiting' with White going there as well to coach. In fairness to Howman, he didn't have a very good run with injuries, and he may think his luck will change at a new club.

This is not good.
I am very saddened by this departure.

Good luck to him.

Thanks for clearing this up Jimmy as I was told on FootySA awhile back "he is playing, he's been out to training" when I mentioned that he wouldn't be playing on this year.

I am extremely disappointed in not only his decision to leave but the fact I was told that he was training well at the Club and subsequently entered this into my article for the Sa Publication.

I think there is a definite lack of professional communication at the Club and that disappoints me greatly.

ORDB and SP, i too am a little confused in hearing that Brett was trianing well and looking forward to the year, then next minute he is leaving us. Its either a knee jerk reaction by brett and therefore the club were not really in on what he was doing or a lack of communication by all concerned...anyway, not much we can do now about it but it leaves us a bit thin down back, esp with the loss of smith.

I was a bit confused by the decision as well, at the sponsors night just recently (last week) Richard Allen made mention of how well Brett Howman was training, as well as Stuey Graham, oh well :?
