Dear CD and other Eagles fans

Serious post despite my view that there is no need for clash guernseys IMO when away sides wear white shorts, there are different coloured socks and differnent colours on guernseys despite one common hue.
All that aside, why do Woodville - West Torrens persist in wearing a predominantly gold guernsey agaisnt Glenelg when we both share gold as a colour?
Last years first semi final was my first game I witnessed between the two sides since 1996. I found it far more difficult (but not impossible) to distinguish between the two sides when the Eagles wore their gold guernsey compared to their old Footscray inspired blue guernsey (their best IMO). (I didn't attend yesterday's game between the two clubs but heard the commentators raise it as an issues and it got me thinking about this question).
I would of thought a presominantly blue guernesy would provide a far greater contrast between the two clubs? Especially as we have expanded the size of our gold sash to accomodate our generous new major sponsor and their blue is a royal/normal blue compared to a dark/navy blue.
Thoughts???
