A mock Premiership table

Postby eaglehaslanded » Sun Mar 12, 2006 6:55 pm

Just for a bit of fun I thought I'd do a mock Premiership table for the trial games. With all the talk about how good it would be to have an actual pre-season comp again. I thought it would be good to track the results of the trials with a premiership ladder. I'll be updating it weekly. Bearing in mind Westies only have 2 trials while the other 8 clubs have 3 I thought it fair to give them a 2 point headstart. God knows they'll need it. so here it is after round 1 completed, bearing in mind both Port and Norwood have played 2 games already with their byes to come.

W L PTS PERC
Norwood 2 0 0 52.58
North 1 0 0 65.35
Eagles 1 0 0 61.00
Port 1 1 0 54.34
West 0 0 2 0.00
Central 0 1 0 46.45
Glenelg 0 0 0 40.58
South 0 1 0 39.00
Sturt 0 1 0 34.65

Good stuff, but you can drop the Legs down as they lost to the Crows and add on North's win against the NTFL! :P

Good on ya wedgie. But I'm only including SANFL Trials not the annual Norwood v Crows or North's trial against NTFL. But it was a good win you had none the less wedgie.

Glenelg look pretty bad. Haven't played a game yet have a percentage of 40.58% according to that table.
P.S What is it with Eagles supporters and stats? Not muscling in on Spelly's territory there are you Eagleshavelanded?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Sturt will hopefully climb the ladder.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

OK fellas here it is one more time. Just an oversight when I sent the original ladder. I apologise. Just also remember Westies have been given 2 points because they only play 2 trials instead of 3 as all other clubs play, so it's only fair to award them 2 points, besides that they'll need them anyway.

POS PL W L PTS PERC
1 Norwood 2 2 0 4 52.58
2 North 1 1 0 2 65.35
3 Eagles 1 1 0 2 61.00
4 Port 2 1 1 2 54.34
5 West 0 0 0 2 0.00
6 Centrals 1 0 1 0 46.45
7 Glenelg 1 0 1 0 40.58
8 South 1 0 1 0 39.00
9 Sturt 1 0 1 0 34.65

This is a new innovation Eagles are grounded. We should introduce it for the regular season and give 2 points for the bye. :P

do Norwood play a trial this weekend?
if not does that mean the mighty Roosters are top?
how many points do West get today for putting up a fight and winning the first half easily?
