The SANFL Web Site has suddenly sparked back into life and its survey questions is "Where Do You Get Your SANFL Info From?" I almost threw up when I saw that the SANFL site, almost dormant for the last two months is leading the count.
Of course the best place to get SANFL info. THIS SITE, didn't get a mention from the league boffins but there is category for other.

I voted "Other" a few days back but then I thought should have I ? Could it mean that the SANFL get lazy and rely upon this website which is at NO COST TO THEM ? They know the site exists . Let me play the devils advocate ( which I know some wont understand) , are they surveying that for their own benefit, meaning less updates , publicity etc cos they know the fans come on here to get it ? Just provoking thoughts, thats all .

I certainly understand this, and would not be surprised if it is their intentions, but "Other" can also mean word of mouth, or club newsletters or even club forums. Having said that, this is the biggest forum devoted to the SANFL on the net, so that thought of mine probably is a waste of typing.

However, they may be using it for their own promotional sake. They may wish to state that their website is where everyone goes to get SANFL information.

Sounds like they are trying to decide whether their site is viable I reckon. They have certainly given a wide spread of choices.!!!

I have got one , a bit far fetched and probably completely too bloody far fetched , but maybe people could hear about it in the Papers ? Now the Friday coverage is pretty good but what about Saturday when some "silent" supporters decide if they will go to the footy or not ( or even realise its on) Now this may seem silly but why dont the SANFL take out a 2 page spread and have a write up on each game ? Yes it will cost $$ cos it is Advertising but FFS you spend money to make money . Fair dinkum the more our competition is promoted and advertised the more its supported. Exactly the same theory for the AFL. Great crowds=great exposure. Geez I have a sore head , keeps banging against a brick wall. This isnt hard !!!

My internal cynic thinks the SANFL left us off deliberately, in the hope that some would assume this is in some way part of their site.

Looks like we've sorted out that misunderstanding for them... (although I can see Leigh & his mates at West Lakes clearing their browser cache and voting over and over, all day).
