North v West Trial Preview

Postby dash61 » Sat Mar 18, 2006 8:47 am

you would think norths would need a BIG win today to show that they are going to be the hunted as is suggested by their very one eyed supporter base who cant see other teams.

norths are very near full strength

west have out Munn, Haynes Ben (Essendon), McMillan
in the b's while weed trys out all stock, wiggins, wedding, glover, dragacevic, oswald, hamlin
in afl games, porplycia, pettigrew, jericho, peter walsh & scott welsh ( the last two news is filtering back that you may see a bit of these two footballers this season

SO PUT ALL OF THE ABOVE IN THE WEST TEAM AN YOU HAVE AN AWESOME LOOKING TEAM AT FULL STRENGTH. NORTHS WOULD WANT A VERY GOOD 10 GOAL VICTORY TO SHOW THE PUBLIC THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL

RUMOUR
Jars has stated he fielde his close too best side today and against centrals next week will rest up to 10 players, dont forget coulter is out for half the season, howard is away and with this and the couple in the b's this week youould suggest norths are at 90-95%

cox played little football in the previous two years, had knee done and well if you think you'll get a full year NO
coulter out for at leat half a year
wintle has problems so not fit would be playing season proper this week
howard away is one as is white but thats it

90-95 PERCENT

SUPER COUCH HAS CULLED OF SOME OF YOUR DEPTH, LETS FACE IT A FEW INJURIES AND SOME OF YOUR PLAYERS LOOK VERY VUNERABLE TO THEIR 30 WEEK SEASON

ADD TO THAT THIS IS WESTIES FIRST FULLY COMPETIVE TRIAL AND U HAVE BEEN UP AND RUNNING FRO 10 WEEKS YOUD WABT TO WIN BY 15 GOALS, YOU DO NOT HAVE PLANTY IN RESERVE WESTIES SEEM TO HAVE A HELL OF A LOT AND THE BOOKIES AND ALL THE SCRIBES EXPECT THEM BOTTOM

you need to win by 10 OR 15 GOALS

AND YOU GOOSE

Postby dash61 » Sat Mar 18, 2006 10:40 am

NORTHS WON THE RESERVES GRAND FINAL LAST YEAR

sturts beat you by 3 goals last week , your depth is looking a lil thin

by round 11 you will probably wish you still had
oakley, staples, grocke, and the rest of your outs

add wise, coulter half a year at least , kurzell full year, and cox's very suspect knee and amber sucking habits and the question over gills knee which is dicky at best but this good kid is still playing the year may be long

ask your coach why is he courting Heuskes about a mid year to final come back (FACT), didnt know that did you

yep terrible performance by a full strength team today, strongest North side since 1972... we still had quite a few out today, were down by about 8 goals at half time, and 4 at the last change, played maybe 20minutes of good footy today and we still took the chocolates home

not sure why anybody NEEDS to win a trial game but Westies looked pretty happy until we ran over them, their supporters gave them a standing ovation as they left the field at half time
West look much better under Weed though, they played a more direct brand of footy and it was good for us that we got a decent hitout, they looked good in the middle until the last term

not a bad crowd either

Best since 72? Are you serious? I'm not a North supporter, but surely the current side wouldnt get within 15 goals of the 87 side.

Must admit I didn't see that quote till GWW quoted it.
Marty, you're a nice bloke but wtf are you on???????

I'm with GWW, and if anything 15 goals would be generous.

Well My North Friends

Postby dash61 » Sun Mar 19, 2006 8:11 am

The game didnt go to plan!!!

Jason Roe & Barry Newton two of your team officials spoke before the game and especially roey, andrews cousin and said WE WILL THUMP YOU OF THE PARK, well didnt happen.

Spoke with Marty Poole during the third quarter as he got ready for Strath and he was very impressed with west.

Now as a outsider of norths and a bloods lover i would say i was very disappointed with O'Hara and Wakelin by two new raw lads who took them apart, westies stopped and the norths fitter lads run over us when we stopped to a walk and by weed resting haynes and co 5 mins into the third quarter, not an excuse but our boys are nowhere near advance as you.

My plus for norths was i liked motlop, mclean battled manfully fr such a dwarf, edwards good raw kid and rissolle on the wing was fantastic in bursts. I thought Harvgraves was better than most have said but was not so impressed with the shermin tank at full forward as with harv who has destroyed sides on occassions. That mountain at CHF looked good but like the west boys not match fit and of course as per normal against west GILL with bung knee and all destroyed us, if could kick from a standing start would have got drafted.

Pretty good trial for both sides. West supporters would be very happy with some of the football we played and North showed they can score quickly when their game flows. I suspect the rookie and pre-season draft might have hurt the Roosters a fair bit as, although it was only a trial, I thought a few problems were exposed. Alleway and Weatherly are big units and presumably will only get better with more game time, Gill is a terrific player and North's running and quick style is very good when it's working.

I think the Roosters have big problems in the key defensive positions and I don't know that O'Hara is going to give an automatic ruck dominance, as has been suggested.

Westies are a bit raw. Yesterday was the first game in the Blood's guernsey for at least 12 of the team, but there were a lot of positives. Our new ruckmen both played well, but Haynes, Hollands and Porplyzia were all class.

Add Dragicevic, Donaldson, Munn, McMillan, Oswald and probably Jericho to yesterday's team and I think it's fair to say we'll be a big improver.

On the other hand, yesterday was only one trial, so we'll see what happens against Sturt next week.

i was impressed with the young players and our recruits prockers played a good game creating chances like he did and hurting a few north players, really we should have won being 6 goals up at the main break but a good starting point none the less 8)

Prockers was easily our best forward for the day and took some really strong grabs. Norths Defence looks vulnerable but im sure that they would have a couple to come back in.

You are joking are you not? All he did was try and rough up the North defence and he wasn't even good at that. I can recall he had one kick. Didn't see his name amongst the goals scorers so he is contunuing on as the most over rated player in the SANFL. You can see why Centrals let him go. He was about as effective as the goal post. Bonnadio and Illman were much more impressive and dominant. If Jericho comes back to West, I can see "Prockers" having to get out of bed real early each week.

West supporter agrees with drebin

i thought he was very ordinary

when wiggins comes back in he will take the pressure of prokopec LETS HOPE, the lad in the b's who kicked 4 (took the hangers in darwin against you (Wedding), Wiggins, jericho, rusca,Ross Glover and dragacevic return with new big man forward O'Sullivan you will see a settled forward line, we have an abundance of talent for our forward line andi think getting the balance right now is the key

wiggins (Western Bulldogs) jericho(Crows), Dragacevic (Richmond) Rusca (western Bulldogs & Brisbane) &Wedding (Darwin,Peel Thunder & East Freo) plus (O'Sullivan a very dominant big man in Vic Country the same lines as your new full forward will bolster us and give us heaps of options.

in prokopec's defence with howard gone and at prossie pk we need some blokes who can throw some weight around wiggins and prokopec are probably our strong men, wiggins wasnt dumped to the b's but was previously commited
