The dogs had 2 players that should have been shoe-ins at the start of the season.

One was sent packing for disciplinary reasons, the other has had a knee reconstruction. Really disappointing for me personally as I coached this age group in development squads. Lucky I don't coach anymore...

Well done to all. Hopefully a fair few make AFL lists. Unfortunately these guys miss about 5 or 6 weeks of the season. 4 of the Eagles players have already played league and for those in the team or on the verge of selection - it can make it hard to get back in when out for that long. It also tests the depth of the lower grades when you have a fair chunk away for that long.

The Eagles have good depth at the moment as we are in the top 2 or 3 on the ladders, except the league at the moment.
