In years gone past the Glenelg/Port match would have been broadcast. 4,215 were at the Bay in 2003 on the Queen's Birthday, and I think that was the last time.

I can't believe that game isn't being broadcast: 1, the rivalry between the two clubs (not like Norwood?Sturt v Port) but it is up there following teh 80s and early 90s, two the crowd those two sides can pull* see Spelly's post and the fact we (glenelg) have made a real attempt over the past few years to make the Queens Birthday Monday a big day out at the bay the interlopers getting the radio coveage is a bit rich, IMO.

I bet there will be more at the Bay than Unley that day.

No, that match was between Glenelg and Eagles in 2003 - even with it on TV too! :) What I meant is that the Queen's Birthday match was broadcast on TV up until that year. Then the ABC stopped doing that. So, imagine what a Glenelg/Port match could pull*. ;)

Well the last Queens Bday games have been Norwood and North, crowds Spelly last year was over 5 K IIRC as it was one of teh games I travelled over from Victoria.

I bet there will be too as there wont be the option of staying home and listening to the game on the radio!
Honestly though, 1st v 6th sounds a lot more appealing thane 2nd v 8th.
Mind you both games will be floggings to the higher ranked team so that's pretty irrelevent.

For some reason there wasn't a QB match in 2000, but from 2001 onwards (2001-03 was broadcast on TV)
2001: Central vs North 3446
2002: Central vs Glenelg 3657
2003: Glenelg vs Eagles 4215
2004: Glenelg vs Central 3248
2005: Glenelg vs West 3881
2006: Glenelg vs Norwood 4395
2007: Glenelg vs North 4067

On that basis why isn't 2nd v 4th being broadcast this weekend instead of 6th v 7th and 3rd v 9th???

Didn't notice until just now that after this weekend, Sturt don't play again for 23 days. :?

Be good if Life in Round 10 did Glenelg vs Port on the Monday instead of Central and South as that is on tele anyway.

Because one of the teams are South and its played somewhere down near the south pole!

So up to round 12, dogs have 2 TV games (one being ANZAC day). That's a little disappointing.

Anyone have quick access to stats on allocations to date?

Dont have the stats but North would have to be near the top having all their home games on Saturday afternoons.
