1.3.9 is a pretty good reason.

He's a bit like Jack, Too old, Too slow. That would be a backward step that Norwood would take a long time to recover from if it ever happened. Coaching is a younger guys world nowadays, the dinosaurs are long gone.

I'd start to be concerned if that trend continued but don't scalp a guy after 1 bad loss. You didn't last work in Pentridge did you in about 1968????

LOL
My Mum's uncle did though.
Retired before Ronnie got necked.
Back to the subject, if the Redlegs put in another couple of performances like last Friday,
the pressure will mount.

There's been several bad losses and one inept draw this year.
Plus 7 goalless quarters already this season.

Only wins have been against a struggling West, the traditional foes Port and an inspired performance against North.
Hill is simply unable to extract good peformances out of the players on a consistent basis and that is what a good coach does.

He seemed like a reasonable signing when he started, but as far as I'm concerned he has to go.

Trevor Who (I mean Hill) should have gone after the Centrals game last year, but somehow got a contract extension.

Only a matter of time though before he's gone

FYI, Hill was a top footballer with North Adelaide (and West Torrens) and played for South Australia. Don't give me this "Trevor WHO" crap.

If you must speculate, show a bit of respect.

I played under him years ago and this statement sums it up.

So where did the 'inspired performance" come from, the coach, players or the front bar. Someone should get the credit so who might that be? Norwood are like Essendon, underachievers and always looking to blame someone for what is a club and not an individual issue.

It seems you haven't been paying much attention to the SANFL lately so let me explain.

Lee Blake, whilst not a household name was known to many here as a recent Norwood player who had recently suffered a relapse of cancer. He entered hospital shortly before the Port game and died shortly after that game. His funeral was held in the week prior to the North game.

That is where the emotion/inspiration came from.

Apparently Michael Taylor has left South as well as Jack, so he clearly is available!

poor ol' Kingo he knocked back the Norwood job several years ago because he thought the board had too much to say at Norwood and now he is in the same boat at South.....and Westoes must have been a culture shock !
Kingo was at Norwood with Macca though so dont think he would want to coach us again.
Taylor and Macca are my favorite two Norwood players of all time.

My mail is that over the last 10 years ish, Norwood have had no interest in Taylor coaching them because there hasnt been 1 wrap for him from anywhere.
And before everyone bags me, Im not having a go at him for his playing credentials or his standing in the community etc - just cant coach

So what you are saying is it takes a very unfortunate and untimely death of a fellow player to motivate players enough to want to win. I suggest that's a very sad indictment on the playing group at Norwood.
What happened to self motivation, pride and the drive to achieve what hasn't been achieved at Norwood for a fair while, consistent performances. Maybe the truth of it is that the playing group are not up to the required standard, now that may be the honest answer you should be looking for instead of blaming the results on an individual , it's called being part of a joint team effort. :(
