The Camber / Drainage at Football Park

Just wondering if the redevelopments at Football Park are to include the re-levelling of the ground with a new drainiage system in order to make it more suitable for a number of other sports to be played there?

If the ground is ripped up to do it though, can it be done in time in the off season for it to be ready for round one of the following year?

i think you would be very surprised just how quickly they can do stuff like that now...........with the technology in place a re-surfacing can be done in a matter of days.......(thats if its done right)

Definitely.

Didnt they completely re-do Adelaide Oval recently between football and cricket seasons?

I thought they did it between cricket seasons, leaving football to go elsewhere - such as the ANZAC game in 2007 at Thebarton Oval.

Correct, they started it when the Rugby 7s finished and started playing football back there on the 30th of June. So basically it took 3 to 4 months, could easily do the same in the offseason of footy, but it might be a bigger job digging out that camber where Adelaide Oval was basically just a returf with new drainage.

And from what I have seen on TV the grass still looks a bit patchy and lot the lush green it used to be.
