What I would like to hope for this season is that we could have the quarter by quarter scores from all the grades on this forum. This is because the Advertiser/Sunday Mail do not have the 19s' and 17s' quarter scores in the newspaper (but used to, of course). Perhaps this thread can be stickied and they can be put in here.

How? Well, perhaps if people on this site can pitch in where possible and provide the scores. I know that MightyEagles has provided the trial match quarter scores, and I bet that there are plenty of contacts and people in the know on here to get them posted. It need only be 4 people per round, but the more there are, the better it is.

I would post the scores in the below format, to make it more "eye friendly":

Team A 2.3 6.7 10.12 15.14 (104)
Team B 1.4 4.5 9.7 12.13 (85)

Also, it has been established by looking at the team statistics that the clubs provide a more accurate totals of team statistics than the Advertiser does - more people per team. I would also like it if we could get someone from each club who knows these totals. The total of ALL the players, not every player, as I know it would take up a bit of time to post every player - unless of course you are willing.

The categories I am after are basically the Advertiser categories: Kicks, Marks, Handballs, Hit Outs, Frees For/Against, Tackles.

This I feel, would be another boost for this site, in that we can provide something else the Advertiser don't.

I can do the u17s and u19s for the Eagle games. The others you have to get someone else.

Spelly - I think this deserves a section for itself really - not in the forum! Hmmm, mayb e a database could be created or something ...

Spelly, I'm happy to provide the Under 17 and Under 19 quarter-by-quarter scores if you want, for West Adelaide.

I could also give you the West league statistics as well, but might need a day or two after the game to get them.

Thanks MightyEagles and redandblack, much appreciated. I think Ecky can help me out with the Glenelg Team statistics, I'll give him an e-mail if he hasn't seen this yet.

Diss, I'd love it if I could have a code to insert Excel squares on this site - it would make my job on this and any other stats and things I post on here much, much easier and better to look at.

I am happy to contribute the Glenelg stats.

Although there may not be a need for publishing the U17s and U19s quarter by quarter scores, as I believe they should be on the SANFL site (http://www.sanfl.com.au/?s=results)

The SANFL website in the past didn't have those quarter scores, I think they just copy what the Advertiser has.

I believe that the SANFL are asking each club to contribute more detailed scores and stats to their website this year.

So in theory at least, this should get done, but who knows if this will really happen...

Yes, that will remain to be seen...
