No TV coverage of games for Round 1 and 2.

It's actually the Commonfilth games fault that we don't have coverage. I think WA misses out on the first 4 weeks of WAFL, so we don't have it that bad.
United by the moment my arse.

I can't see how the ABC can use the excuse re the Commonwelth Games? They finished Sunday and how long does it take to pack up a couple of OB vans and drive them back to Adelaide? After all they only did radio coverage not TV coverage so you would think the logistics would be less in that case?
Someone else mentioned on some forum (could have been The Roost as a member is a Senior ABC Manager) that they were covering some bowls tournamnet or something interstate from memory? But looking at the guide for this Sat. I can't see anything earth shattering that they bailed all their SA resources to the Eastern Seaboard?

Lawn Bowls, now there's a game - It was actually introduced by the great Sir Francis Drake ....

The 2006 Australian Open Lawn Bowls championship is being held from the 29/3/06 to 8/4/06.
For those lawn bowls fans like drebin it can be seen on ABC TV on Sat April 8th at 2pm (4 hours).

Must have missed that in my pick of weekly highlights in the guide - pity I will be at Noarlunga and miss the afternoon feast of conservative "crackerjack" (Would be worth watching if Mick Molloy was allowed to commnetate like in the C/Wealth Games!).
Seriously how many OB vans do the ABC have and how many (plus cameras) would they need to cover bowls? Christ it is normally a camera at each end plus one roving camara to get those close in "tense" shots of the mat. But unbeknowns to us bowls fans

they may have introduced such things as "bowl cam", The "Flying Fox Cam" suspended overhead along with the camera on rail tracks to track every exciting minute of what should be rivetting TV sport!.
P.S. Will the bowlers be miked up or will the mat be miked up?. Better get ready on that beep/dump button because if they are anything like my old man's bowling club then it could get quite PG rated.

Excellent, excellent and excellent from 5RPH.
My radio has crap reception near my 'puta which I hardly leave so the live streaming will be a benefit.
Great for I/S and O/S fans too.
Had a listen to the Leage Team Show for the first time in almost a couple of years last week and thorughly enjoyed it.
