South Adelaide guernsey at cricket in Durban

Last night during the 2nd Test Match between South Africa and Australia a man wearing a South Adelaide guernsey was shown in a contingent of Australian fans. Former South Australian and South African cricket commentator Mike Haysman even picked up on it.
I have always hoped one day somebody would wear an SANFL jumper to an overseas cricket match. All the lads usually wear their AFL colours. If I ever go on a tour which I will wear a North guernsy to the match for sure.
Hard luck for the panthers though they can't afford 10% of their supporter base to be overseas.

RTG from The Roost wore his North jumper to the World Cup finals in England a few years back - he got on the TV.

Jimmy, I think that the shade of blue on the guernsey you wear in NY would prove far more popular in San Francisco.

My friends, South at present have the most loyal supporters in the league, please find a rational argument to dispute this.
The club has underachieved for decades and anyone who is still passionate about the club after many years of failures deserves a f---n medal.

Every club has according to their supporters "The most loyal supporters" - it's just that South have less!

42 years since our last premiership
27 years since our last grand final
15 years since our last final appearance.
Dribble ,these are the most obvious reasons South have very few supporters, I still say that those that follow South are the most loyal in the league. As I mentioned in my previous post ,please find a rational argument to dispute this.As usual I guess the word rational would not apply to anything you have to add to the discussion.

Have to agree with Blue and White..it would be hard being a South supporter. I think the real concern is what will happen when those who remember the 64 premiership and those who were around the last time South made the finals die? As a youngster why would you follow South? This is very concerning for South Adelaide. The same could be said for Westies fans also.
What would suck if you were a South supporter is if you supported St Kilda in the AFL!!!

Of course blueandwhite South supporters would be the most loyal based on no success for years!

What about the loyal supporters of those clubs that have struggled in recent years financially but have not let their clubs fold. Examples Sturt, North and Port for that matter with their $2 campaign and presently Norwood. I suppose there were no loyal supporters involved in those clubs struggles?
I'm not knocking you or your club or your passion and it would be frustrating to follow South with limited success since 1964 but it is a bit of a "sweeping" statement to say that South have the most loyal supporterss based on your rational arguement - limited success. All clubs except for Port have been through long periods without success including Centrals - 37 years B4 their first flag.
P.S. Why the personal attack (Dribble) - I just posed a question querying your arguement. Did I make it personal and comment about how you post (and you think I can't give a rational answer?) Resorting to personal attacks is not rational. Why don't you practise what you preach then and keep it rational, objective and not resort to juvenile personal attacks?

Or the Bulldogs (been 50 years sinc their last one I think, or South Melb before last year, or Geelong to an extent, or Fremantle.

DREBIN,sorry about the vicious personal attack on you. Hopefully you are not hurt.It just seems to me that from time to time you have an "informed opinion on everything".

Hardly vicious!

READ your intial post and my initial response taking out "the tongue in cheek" wink at the end. So re my first response - FACT - ALL SANFL clubs have loyal supporters and we all think we are the most loyal out of all clubs. Surely you don't disagree with that??? "Informed Opinion" - South have less supporters based on crowd figures (home and away) and membership. That would be a fairly accurate opinion would it not?
And I don't have an opinion on
everything So go and read every topic posted on this site and other sites and prove to me where I have an opinion on everything posted. When you do - then you can point fingers and make personal jibes. Just argue your point - you wanted a rational arguement so where is it?
