Mark Passador

Postby eaglehaslanded » Thu Jun 12, 2008 11:38 pm

I noticed with interest on the email I received from the wwtfc earlier today Passador is listed as an out for the upcoming game against the Panthers due to injury. I didn't notice anything during the weekends game against the Redlegs and there was no mention of any injuries from the game in the Sunday Mail which leads me to one conclusion and that is something has happened to him at training during week. Can anyone shed some light on what has happened to him. He will be sorely missed this week and if we were playing anyone but South it could have possibly meant a loss.

Like I stated i my original post I expected it to be something from training. A hammy isn't good news and he will be missed. Any idea of the seriousness, number of games he might be missing for etc.

Superstar Ian Callinan has missed the last 8 weeks with a "strained hamstring" for the Doggies...

Might not look too good for Pass and the Eagles hopes of getting back into the 5... :(

Still think they'll just win on the weeked though... :D

Thats a big blow for the Eagles. Being a fast leading forward, he'd want his hammy fully recovered before returning.
Pass is vital to Eagles chances this season.
IMO is as important to Eagles as Chambers is for Sturt.

Devastation reigned at the Eagles training on Wednesday night. In first two minutes Pass. does a hamstring. Treeby and Powell turned ankles, Hier hurt a shoulder, Fairclough couldn't front and Petrenko might have copped and injury last Saturday that as yet has not been disclosed. Now we read that McEntee has an ankle injury. Lets hope we are over our bad injury run.

If a reasonably good player in the SANFL is a "Superstar" what do you call someone who is a good performer at the national level?

I'm not having a go at you Phil, but at the trend in the language. Eventually, if anyone is any good at all we'll have call them a "superultramegahyperstar" to distinguish them from average performers.

It's silly, arrogant comments like this that make me feel justified in my reasoning in not having a lot of respect for the Eagles and their supporter base. There are a few hybrid followers out there that are a bit too big for their boots. Your side is 3-6 for s#*t sake!!

I hope the Panthers get up!

He's one of the best players in the League, in the SANFL he is pretty much superstar material.

But keep ruffling those feathers, though, LEH is already too much for some! ;)

Ferret what is going on at Oval AVE 2 weeks in a row on a Wednesday training has caused injuries!!!

With Super Pass out this opens the way for at least one of the other 3 FF we are playing to step up and fill the void.

You're basing your whole assessment of Eagles' supporters on one comment? Isn't that a tad sweeping?

I think Passador is more important to the Eagles than Chambers is to Sturt. I'm not saying Passador is the better player but with Sturt ATM having more key forward options (Perrie, Coad and when picked Herring) other than Chambers you could well say PAssador is more important to his club than Chambers is to Sturt.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dunno, the Eagles got closer to North when they didn't have Passador this year and Schwarze was the go to man.

Schwarze is a better pack marker than Passador - his specialty is the leading mark, although he has taken some good pack marks. In Round 1 Schwarze was getting it bombed into to his territory more than Passador. It would be interesting to see how Hentschel or Salter or if Kenny goes forward how the ball gets delivered. IF they get better delivery into the forward line, it will be because every player out there is totally committed to the task and is not wasting supporters time expecting what we know can be produced from the named side.
