Now you dont have to get up in the middle of the night to listen, just record the game!

You trying to decrease traffic here Dutchy? ;)
Big fan of zazz but thought that was a waste of money as theres free software that does the same.

its not just all about listening to the game, its the build up to listen to it live, getting others thoughts on the game as it goes on etc...so look forward to staying up late to listen.

Thanks for the suggestion Dutchy...much appreciated...but I have to agree with Jimmy. Can't beat listening to a live game with the others on the forums and even though we can't put in the miles to get to games at least we can make the effort to stay/get up and listen.

Regards
JAS

With all those satellites rattling around above our heads surely someone could come up with some technology to pull down the ABC signals? Talking about local ABC of course - not Australia Network.

If they can get it* in the outback I wonder if there's some overspill to Asia and the Pacific?

Also have to agree with Jimmy n JAS. I get all the North dvd's sent over which is great to watch the games, but listening live on line is the only real deal short of actually being there.

Watch TV

Postby shanghaied » Mon Jun 23, 2008 1:18 pm

I agree. I couldn't listen to a delayed radio broadcast.

I've been doing a bit of research about trying to get the TV signal from ABS2 on the Optus C1 satellite. I emailed a bloke in QLD who sent me this reply - copied FYI

>Maybe with a 3 metre solid dish - depends where you are. In Bali a smaller one might do.

>Or buy a Slingbox I have here - see http://www.slingmedia.com This will give you all your local channels. You just need good broadband connections at each end. The Slingbox is $700 AU, and the digital systems converter is $600 AU. Needed to convert our PAL into NTSC as its a US Slingbox.
