I've made similar comments to North fans about Jarman on another thread - you won't realise what you've lost, until it's gone.
Who do you propose will do a better job than Fuller? No point sacking a bloke unless you've got a clear idea on who/what you need to replace him with.
I think the Eagles have a few issues this season, in that they have not recruited as actively as other clubs, and often rely too heavily on their AFL-listed players to get them over the line.
I think the fact that Fuller chooses to leave Passador as the sole forward, with good forward players in Salter and Schwarze further up the field, gets exposed a bit too easily. Passador can kick 6 and the Eagles will still lose, because the defenders know the ball is coming to him EVERY time.
I think the ageing players and injuries to Colville, Cicca and others haven't helped the Eagles this season, but hell, you cannot stay UP for as long as you have without having a few ordinary matches. Your season is not over Eagles fans...North appear to have all but sewn up fourth spot, but the fifth spot is open to anyone. I still think the Eagles can make the finals.
You don't coach a team to such success as Fuller has without having a good grip on the game. Imagine if our great competition lost stalwarts in Fuller and Jarman...it just would not be the same.

Been longer that ... I'd suggest we've shown a lot more patience than those calling for Fullers head too

Agreed i think Norwood fans have more cause to call for their coaches haed than North or teh Eagles.
Eagles fans FFS 1st and 3rd in the last two years he can't be doing all bad???? I could understand it if he had mised the finals last year but crikey 10 games after making the Preliminary final????

eaglehaslanded wrote:I will re-iterate once again for the Eagles to be a success again the club needs a change of direction. I believe that change of direction should be without Ron. A lack of recruiting and those that have come to the club choose to leave all too soon because of a clash with the coach, lack of opportunities. I agree with mickyj we clearly have no plan b. He takes too long to make crucial match day situations eg: Why did he leave Hier on Chambers yesterday when it was lear to everyone the young kid was getting towelled up. It's time to go look at some oter options whether they be: Jeffries, Rogers, Pyman, Weidemann or maybe the smokey in the pack might just be Steven Hall who is currently coaching Henley A's to great success (our backline would be better under the leadership of him)

How short peoples memories are, 1 bad season and we are calling for his head?
Proven coach both with the kids and with the seniors.
Yesterdays effort was with the players not the coach.
We were beaten by a better and harder unit , similar to that of the Eagles in 2006.
Some of the calls for his sacking from the faithful are a disgrace

We will have to disagree with a few things OWW.
Yesterdays game yes the players looked crap but why were moves not made sooner ?
A better and harder unit yes and more fitter. Why is this so as the eagles trained 5 days a week in the pre season .Why do the Eagles look flat unfit tired.
So what should we faithful do sit there and take the crap dished out on the field .One week we are Crap the next we play ok then Crap again.
Why should we sneak into the five we are THE WOODVILLE WEST TORRENS FOOTBALL CLUB. We should be goose stepping our way through the other teams and be in the grand final.Sorry to offend people but we expect to be up there every year since the merger.
Us and Centrals fans should expect to be there !!!!!!
Why did RON tell PLAYERS and ASSISTANT COACHES he was leaving at the end of 2006 if he won the flag or not.why do that?
Why are we losing assistant coaches young players with ron there why.
I am one of the faithful and I do not wish to be the faithful in the number 9 spot !!!Not again that was a life time ago never again for this little black duck .
Someone please grab the club by the scruff of the neck and shake the life back into it
