IT'S TIME TO GO !!!

Postby eaglehaslanded » Sat Jun 21, 2008 9:05 pm

IT'S TIME TO GO !!! - RON FULLER. Enough is enough Eagles. How much more of this pathetic shit do you expect us to put up with. As a paid up member of the club tonight I sit a very bitter man. I am over the reign of Fuller. For our proud football club to progress moving forward the club needs to sack FULLER effective immediately. We are going nowhere really fast and this will continue under the reign of FULLER. Ron cannot take us any further we need to be looking at alternatives.

Did HOLDEN78 start this particular ball rolling two weeks early ?
Ok like I posted in the review thread .
At yesterdays game was told by two family members of one of Rons ex assistants what Ron was like in the coaching box .To much credit given to Ron for 2006 IMHO.And they didnt like Norths Coach either!!
We missed the boat on yestersday's Pair so what do we as a club do now.
I can not comment on the U17 or U19 games .But I watched the Seconds and league game what a disgrace to the tri colours .Whats going to happen next week against the doggies a 100 point loss not good enough guys.
So who do the Eagles target for 2009 Norman or the centrals reserves coach ?
Or do we go out on a limb and cut our head off and appoint Jeffries for the rest of the year.
Someone at the club needs to stand up and make a decision the side is to one dimensional .No game plan B well there was a plan B used at Prospect not seen since .
I should be standing knee deep in water catching fish this morning .Instead I still sitting her fuming over a another bloody loss!!!!!

Not good enough recruiting since 2006!!
No plan B when the side is losing!!
Juniors promoted and lost to the state team for around 5 weeks .Not good enough no one to cover the loss of kids. And it was the kids that got the team the wins before the south game!!

So the ball is in the court of the BOARD its up to YOU people to do something !!Or MEMBERS(not just fans) like myself who up until this year have been the silent majority, will come along to the AGM and change everyone who is not performing.Because there is only one BOARD person at my CLUB out perfroming everyone and he is safe in my eyes.

And let it be known before this year never once have I said a bad word or anything about the EAGLES coaching staff.BUT I am having FOOTY FLASHBACKS to the 70's and 80's and I will not be forced to relive those eras again .

ITS TIME people lets get it started !!!

I cannot believe how quickly club's supporters are to jump on their coach when things don't go their way.

I've made similar comments to North fans about Jarman on another thread - you won't realise what you've lost, until it's gone.

Who do you propose will do a better job than Fuller? No point sacking a bloke unless you've got a clear idea on who/what you need to replace him with.

I think the Eagles have a few issues this season, in that they have not recruited as actively as other clubs, and often rely too heavily on their AFL-listed players to get them over the line.

I think the fact that Fuller chooses to leave Passador as the sole forward, with good forward players in Salter and Schwarze further up the field, gets exposed a bit too easily. Passador can kick 6 and the Eagles will still lose, because the defenders know the ball is coming to him EVERY time.

I think the ageing players and injuries to Colville, Cicca and others haven't helped the Eagles this season, but hell, you cannot stay UP for as long as you have without having a few ordinary matches. Your season is not over Eagles fans...North appear to have all but sewn up fourth spot, but the fifth spot is open to anyone. I still think the Eagles can make the finals.

You don't coach a team to such success as Fuller has without having a good grip on the game. Imagine if our great competition lost stalwarts in Fuller and Jarman...it just would not be the same.

As I stated before I never have had a problem with the Coaching and recruiting staff until this year.
Yes we could still the make five but do the players really want to make the finals. They look tired uninspired and flat.In Greyhound racing terms they need to be freshened up with a well no I will not say that
So lets look back .Really should the club have kept Ron after that huge loss to Centrals ? And lets be honest he had told the players, and his assistant coaches that 2006 even if they won the flag that was it the end no more he was retiring .
Lets move forward to the end of 2007.The Eagles finished third and how did they finish third.
1 Feast could not kick a goal from 10 metres out!!
2 A Glenelg Player passed teh ball to Schwarze for an easy goal.
So 2008 brings recruits leaving .No plan B old players getting injured no replacements .League players not pushing themselves as there is nothing to replace them .
Yes lets keep Ron
Anyone else know more than me !!

I will re-iterate once again for the Eagles to be a success again the club needs a change of direction. I believe that change of direction should be without Ron. A lack of recruiting and those that have come to the club choose to leave all too soon because of a clash with the coach, lack of opportunities. I agree with mickyj we clearly have no plan b. He takes too long to make crucial match day situations eg: Why did he leave Hier on Chambers yesterday when it was lear to everyone the young kid was getting towelled up. It's time to go look at some oter options whether they be: Jeffries, Rogers, Pyman, Weidemann or maybe the smokey in the pack might just be Steven Hall who is currently coaching Henley A's to great success (our backline would be better under the leadership of him)

Agreed i think Norwood fans have more cause to call for their coaches haed than North or teh Eagles.

Eagles fans FFS 1st and 3rd in the last two years he can't be doing all bad???? I could understand it if he had mised the finals last year but crikey 10 games after making the Preliminary final????

Ron can stay as long as he likes.

How short peoples memories are, 1 bad season and we are calling for his head?

Proven coach both with the kids and with the seniors.

Yesterdays effort was with the players not the coach.

We were beaten by a better and harder unit , similar to that of the Eagles in 2006.

Some of the calls for his sacking from the faithful are a disgrace

Yes and how did we make that final Tassie Medalist .Because some stupid GLENELG PLAYER KICKED the ball to SCHWARZE.
Thats how we made it Tassie by the end of 2007 the Eagles were tired and they looked it .
2008 nothing has changed a tired club is trying to hang in there just hoping for a ROCKY style knockout punch !!!
Sorry I should be quiet and watch the club slide further down the ladder and be were WEST are.So that would prove the merger was pointless which it was not.
But I will not just sit there take it MY CLUB IS TO GOOD TO LAY DOWN

Lets face it Ron took the club to the heights and we thank him .BUT the Club needs to climb the next hill and Rons little ENGINE is running out of STEAM very fast IMHO.
Personally Rogers and Weidemann I would rule out completely.
Steven Hall had his first huge loss why because certain good players were called up to play for the EAGLES.Perhaps he should come home I am not sure.
Pyman and Jeffries must be the front runners at this stage .Both bring different things to the table.
Whoever they bring in needs to have some MONGREL about him be open for change .Bring in new ideas .And a very very big BROOM .
The Eagles let Rick and Luke go we can not afford to let good coaches slip away and beat us on the field.
Anyone asked why Nick Pesch left ?

Lets face it the EAGLES were beaten by a well drilled team in both levels yesterday. One that ran all day and made the EAGLES look tired slow old and in a different league.
And you other fans think we EAGLES have no fans .Wait until we lose more and more games .It will be me my lad and a few other die hard fans thats all .Even loud eagle wasnt there yesterday.

We will have to disagree with a few things OWW.
Yesterdays game yes the players looked crap but why were moves not made sooner ?
A better and harder unit yes and more fitter. Why is this so as the eagles trained 5 days a week in the pre season .Why do the Eagles look flat unfit tired.
So what should we faithful do sit there and take the crap dished out on the field .One week we are Crap the next we play ok then Crap again.
Why should we sneak into the five we are THE WOODVILLE WEST TORRENS FOOTBALL CLUB. We should be goose stepping our way through the other teams and be in the grand final.Sorry to offend people but we expect to be up there every year since the merger.
Us and Centrals fans should expect to be there !!!!!!

Why did RON tell PLAYERS and ASSISTANT COACHES he was leaving at the end of 2006 if he won the flag or not.why do that?
Why are we losing assistant coaches young players with ron there why.

I am one of the faithful and I do not wish to be the faithful in the number 9 spot !!!Not again that was a life time ago never again for this little black duck .

Someone please grab the club by the scruff of the neck and shake the life back into it

Well sacking a proven premiership coach mid year ain't the answer.

As many have rightly said , recruitment has fallen over this year and Ron would take responsibility on that .

Unsettled side all year has had an impact on the performance and the players aren't playing like we know they can.

Ron Fuller will take full responsibility for this as all senior coaches do.

I for one will stick with Ron based on his proven past record
