Listening to Life FM.... Westies scored a goal within a minute of the opening bounce. Scores now Port 1-4 to West 1-2 about 20 minutes in.
Didn't catch the other score, but I thought I heard the Eagles had only 0-1 on the board.
Watercloset just goaled, now Port 2-4. He's had a few shots already.

eaglehaslanded wrote:So here I am, back again. Talking up the Eags still. Just recently made a trip to the club and seen the lads go through their pre-season paces and might I say allthough it's early the mighty Eags are already looking bloody brilliant. The young lad Jackson Bolton is looking like a gun signing. Speaking to big linds and all the current group are impressed with all the recruits but Jackson inparticular. He looks like another fine midfielder amongst our already overflowing stocks. Looking forward to round 1 and our trip to Prospect. Can't wait to see my Eags wipe the smug looks of those faces of all you Rooter fans. Round 1 Bring it on!!!

EHL this is what you said on Feb 4 in the thread titled 'Eagles look the team to beat...
Any comments you wish to make.......

It was a pity North couldn't finish the job, but at times we were simply brilliant. The Eagles didn't look anything like they did last year, they didn't look like kicking goals until the last term, our defence kept on top of them. Our midfield was great, and O'Hara showed he will be a handy pickup for the chooks.
The Eagles do not look like the team to beat, they will need to improve a lot on that effort if they want to play off in another grand final.
Howard was sensational, kicked the first, and then kicked almost the last with a superb goal from the pocket late in the game.
