I don't waste my money on the Advertiser anymore, especially on Saturdays. It is so thick yet takes no more than 10 minutes to go through. Herald sun on Saturdays is half the thickness but takes 10 times longer to read because they actually have stories in it unlike short articles in the Advertiser, the majority sourced from the news wires.

Just for you Jimmy:

Central District
After an exodus of senior players, the Bulldogs are on the hunt for replacements, with delisted St Kilda pair Brent Guerra and Dylan Pfitzner at the top of their list. Both former Bulldogs, the due would be valuable additions at Elizabeth if secured for 2006.
"I've spoken with Brent andd he'll see if any other AFL clubs are interested first", Central general manager Kris Grant said.
With Gavin Chaplin confirmed to coach the reserves next year, the 'Dogs are still searching for an assistant coach after Scott Lee landed the head coaching job at Nurioopta.

Glenelg
Former Tigers juniors Jarrad Sundqvist (Sydney) and David King (Collingwood) have both been cut by their AFL clubs and could return to Brighton Road. Of the two, Sundqvist is the more likely to return as King has set up his own fitness business in Melbourne. "When they go to the AFL, the important thing for us (Glenelg) is that they come home if it doesn't work out" Glenelg president Gary Metcalf said.

North Adelaide
Speculation has linked Woodville-West Torrens ruckman Brett O'Hara with a move to Prospect as its understood O'Hara wants to lead the ruck after playing in the shadow of Paul Lindsay.
Veterens Tim Cook and Mark Jeffries have both retired, with Cook to concentrate on his physiotherapy and Jeffries to coach in country Victoria. North will also speak with former Rooster Toby Stribling, who was delisted by Fremantle.

Norwood
The Redlegs are among a host of clubs seeking the services of VFL state ruckman Michael Rix.
"He's a bloke of high integreity, is very athletic and would not only provide us with an excellent option in the ruck but also around the ground: Norwood general manager David Wark said.
Wark said the club would also be in touch with former Sturt onballer Matthew Cooper, who is looking for another club.
New coach Trevor Hill is expected to confirm his coaching panel within the next fortnight.

Port Adelaide
Incoming coach Time Ginever has locked in Greg Phillips as his assistant and reserves coach for next year.
The Magpies are also hopeful of retaining Jared Poulton, and regaining Matthew Lokan, who was dismissed from Collingwood.
"I know Matthew's prety keen to return to Adelaide so we've got our fingers crossed," Port general manager Matthew Richardson said. Ross Funcke, Che Cockatoo-Collins and Fabian Francis have all retired.

South Adelaide
The Panthers could lose as many as seven front-line players with Tim Fleming, Clinton King, Rob Forster-Knight and Tom Hedge among those departing.
Michael Davis and Chris Hall who has been linked with WAFL club Subiaco - are considering their futures.
"We're going to lose at least four maybe more but every club has the same thing to go through,: South's newly appointed assistant coach Darren Mead said.
"At least it will give us a chance to get some of our juniors coming through".

Sturt
The Double Blues received encouraging news following confirmation veterans Damian Squire and Simon Feast would at least begin pre-season training.
"They will start pre-season and see how they go after that," Sturt general manager Stuart Totham said.
"There's no expectation on them and we'll see how their bodies hold up."
After parting company with midfielder Matthew Cooper, Sturt is keen to retain delisted Crow Matthew Smith.
But first, the key defender will try his luck, traning with a Melbourne-based AFL club ahead of this month's national draft.

West Adelaide
Retired ruckman Ben Marsh will stay at Richmond next season in a coaching capacity, taking charge of the rucks and midfield. Former West rover Michael Godden will coach the reserves.
Despite Ben Dray travelling overseas in 2006, the Bloods expect to add at least three more recruits to the signature of ex-Essendon utility Ben Haynes.
"We're close to nailing three players from Victoria, two from the country and one from Melbourne," West general manager Doug Thomas said.

Woodville-West Torrens
Former North Adelaide rassistant Rick Macgowan has been appointed as the Eagle's reserves coach next season and with ex-West captain Luke Norman to be Ron Fuller's assistant.
Dropped off the Western Bulldogs list, former Eagles junior Izaac Thompson has confirmed he will play for the club next year.
"He's a very smooth-moving wingman and we're very glad to have him back," Eagles general manager John Kantilaftas said.
