North v Eagles

Was great to get back to the footy - even if we DID lose. North played really well, and although they won by more than what they were up in the first quarter - the game wasn't really even after that time.

O'Hara was great, giving first use much of the time - I wanted to say some bitter remarks about the change of colours though I was sitting with his parents :)

I thought Jarrad was good in his first real game - got a lot of the ball, looked smooth, and just let himself down with his kicking. Saw Inkster take a great grab in the forward pocket right in front of me, I wish I had the camera at the time!

Some Rooster kicked a great goal from the boundary in the last - they needed it as well as we were coming back a little. He kicked it from right in front of me and split the middle - class.

Great to meet up with Wedgie again - as well as meeting a whole bunch of the Rooster regulars from here. Always excellent to put faces to names (even if some of them didn't want to be known!)

Damn I was in the grandstand
i thought we did better in the ruck duel diss ,but North played better before 1/2 way thro the third quater.
Well done north you were the better side on the day.
The crowd was great looked more than was reported and well behaved actually got on well with the northerners in the G/S.

I bet the Eagles play a better brand of footy next week .

It was great to see the real footy start again, after getting a taste in Darwin it felt like a year passed before Round 1 kicked off. Howard kicked that goal in the last term, he was a star. O`Hara is a very good pickup, he used to regularly kill us when he played for the Eags.

Grocke and Oakley struggled to get a game for our As and when they did, they never performed to their potential. Both played very well for you blokes though, maybe a change of club is what they needed, welldone to the ex-Roosters.

Yes must say well done Roosters. You were better than us on the day. Remember it's only round 1 though and we are still far from full strength. Thought O'hara played well fo Roosters allthough I thought we had the better of him overall. Jarrad, Oakley & Grocke are all going to be very handy players throughout 2006.

What you thought there was going to be trouble in the grandstands at Prospect??? The average age (take out the players girlfriends and ressies players) would be about 60. Gotta watch out for the grey rinse set at Prospect they can get very nasty!
