He was nothing special, smallish type half-forward/pocket,will have a pretty big impact on things at Alberton,Brown leaving took some real quality form the midfield so I can only hope Alvey does some where near as well as Tony did.Should kick a few goals and run into the middle.

Will be interested to see how Tim is going at the helm,I think he might be a bit hard when it comes to the training side of things, not that he would have ever enjoyed it in his day!

And if things get tough down at Pieland, people could always tell Ginever to keep his chin up...a Herculean task in itself!

Rumours going around that Port have also got John Baird but on the downside Jarrod Poulton might be looking for a country club after being disappointed that Port haven't talked to him since the finals. Most importantly Ray Ebel is still undecided about his future.

Nigel would be getting on a bit these days. Im not sure if he'll make much of an impact. But hey whatever........

Alvey maybe a good pickup. Losing Poulton would hurt.

He'll be 30 in January. Still...he had his best season of SANFL in 2004. Would be a very good pickup if we got him back...even if it was just for one more year.
