North v Glenelg Rd 5 2006

Postby Wedgie » Fri Apr 28, 2006 10:08 pm

Christ almighty, how stupid is David Wildy?
I quote half time tonight:

"It would be great for the comp if Glenelg could win but you can't look past a 16 goal victory last game so North will win".

Umm, do you know what Glenelg did in their last game (and against the reigning premiers as opposed to Sturt) Mr Wildy?

Spot on, the Bays are certainly not the easy beats a lot predicted pre season, if either the Cocks or the Pussies are not switched on in this game, they could be on the end of a hiding.

Pfft, time to stop sitting on the fence North fans, let's make it more interesting (plus if we're cocky now it'll give the Bays fans more fun if they win).

Bays are crap, they've been lucky for their wins (yep, that's right, the umpire and a fluke wind cost Central the lost 2 weeks ago! ).
North will win by 5-10 goals if they're a genuine premiership threat,no injury excuses, etc.

PS These views are not necessarily those of the poster "Wedgie" but are solely intended to help raise some interest to a game that has fans of both clubs way too chummy and nice for my liking at the moment!

On the first game tomorrow, I've got a sinking feeling that the Bays ressies are going to win by plenty.

I would hope so. The pain of last October still lingers. I know our team has changed alot but it is still the same grade and the same 2 clubs. Bring it on!

coming from a bloke who's been photographed in the Glenelg Clubrooms, wearing a Tigers scarfe??? You've done more for North/Glenelg relations, than Monica Lewinsky did for Presidential relations!

PPS Also time for the Bays fans to get off the fence too, Glenelg beat the reigning premier by 16 goals last start, confidence should be oozing down at Brighton Rd.

Well, we have got 5 players with considerable League experience (Cranston, Krueger, Block, Miller and Allen), plus All-Australian Under 18 player Mark Austin coming into a side which beat Centrals by 99 points last game, so it would be surprising if we didn't do quite well. Our only significant player out is Gus Lally who is going up to the League to make his debut.

By the way, in this rematch of last year's Grand Final, Glenelg have got 7 players remaining from that team (Krueger, Horan, Block, A Button, Wade, Redden, Yeomans) and from memory North also have only 7 (Martin, McGahey, Nye, Moritz, Motlop, Delvins, Heath), plus Kaesler if he doesn't make North's League team.

Your team beat the reigning premiers by more than my team could be a bottom 2 side, its also at Glenelg's home, surely if you have any faith in your club you'd be giving me the 5 goals in?

I think Dutchy was stating the amount of goal by Rogers. I think BAys by 12 goals. Less than 14 hours to kick off, cant wait!!!

This game will tell a story about both clubs. Are Glenelg the real deal, and how good are North Adelaide? I'm really looking forward to this one. I think the Roosters will get up.
