I thought North had a whole heap of class players out with injuries at the moment, the only ones i can see are Hargreaves and Koops. What are North supporters complaining about. To me it looks like the eagles and the dogs have the worst injury list.

U obviously don't know ur footy that well.

Coulter, Alleway and Walker are all starting 18 footballers.

Yeah real talent Coulter struggled to get a game at the dogs and the other two i have never heard of,so if these are your trump cards gee all of the SANFL will be shivering in their boots.

No need to be like that just cos u were proven wrong. Il grant u I was probably a tad rude in making my point.

No the Sanfl wont be shivering in their boots. However Alleway is our highest profile recruit as he was box hill captain and victorian centre half forward last year (correct me if im wrong north fans). Walker has been a starting 18 player when he's played and will be when he returns from injury. As for Coulter he may not have performed well at the dogs but last year in a team that finished 4th he was a a very solid starting 18 player who was considered very important to us. Mabee he has improved since doggyland but mabee on the other hand if he is good enuf to make our side we arnt a premiership team time will tell.

Of equal importance to these names returning is the fact it will push out some of the fringe players who we can't afford to have there if we are going to win a premiership.

Lets be honest about this centrals v norths outs

Coulter and Walker v Cochrane Brothers
Coulter struggled for a game at the dogs, the Cochrane boys are both 2 time Premiership players

Alleway v Cowan
Alleway may be VFL CHF but still not proven at SANFL, Cowan 2 time premiership CHF and was the game breaker in last years GF

Other outs for the dogs,
Steinberner, who is Capt of the club, 4 time premiership player, Jack Oatey Medalist
C Gowans, 4 time premiership player, Jack Oatey Medalist

In summary - outs
1 captain
14 premierships medals
2 jack oatey medals

No Brainer - Debate Over

Did anyone see what happened to Perri? My understanding he made his comeback in the reserves on Sat although I didn't see him listed. Then I saw a Sturt ressies player in the distance with his arm in a sling during the league match. Sounds like this is lousy news yet again. And Vertudaches? What happened there??

Ugly looking list for WWT...there's a fair bit of quality to return to that unit. It appears they'll be doing a lot of 'testing' down Woodville way this week.

Jackson Bolton is another who has not played league yet for the Eagles and has had injury problems. He is not listed on the injury list, but was sitting on the bench with ice on his hammy when I arrived at the footy last Tuesday for the last ten minutes of the ressies.

Of that injury list, there are probably 10 players who have been regular starting 18 plus J Bolton who was listed with Geelong. This is not including Lomas and Williams who won't play this season.

Good news for the Eags is that nine of those ten aren't long term and will hopefully be back within 1-2 weeks. I'm sure the struggling ressies and u/19s will be glad to get a few players back.

that sucks major ass about perri missing the season...poor bloke, would have been handy too

gee, is alleway ever going to play a game? always seems injured

i think the outs for both north and the dogs are significant but north will be favourites easily due to the dogs missing a prick this week.

Yep you are more hurt by injuries than North. We are still hurt though. By seasons end the players Ive mentioned could be premiership players and we would be rating the injuries equally.

2 players that I mentioned have 8 premier ships and 2 jack oatey medals between them, the other two have 4 premierships between them......

No the players you have mentioned have to do more then win this years flag to be on equal footing

Alleway was Box Hill's Capt. and the VFL State Side CHF last year. He is rated better than Gill. Do you require any further info on this "no body". Currently we have the luxury of having both our first choice FF and CHF out still have Gill and Weatherley to cover - can't say the same for Centrals who have struggled with out your FF (Schell) and CHF (Cowans).

With due respect to Cowan who is a fine player Alleway has the greater reputation and credentials. Whether he shows that at North Adelaide is yet to be seen.

read the thread, the question is which club's outs have had a great impact on the clubs performance, by your post you are agreeing with me, the lost of Cowans and Shell has had a greater impact on the dogs, then the lost of your Big Reputation CHF has had on NA.

We all also know that too many players have come to the SANFL Comp with big reps but done little, so I think it is a fair call to say let's wait and see what sort of performances Alleway puts on the board for the NFC, I don't give a shit what he did for Box Hill, we are talking about the NFC and the SANFL.

So where it stands at present, Cowans has two premiership medals, playing at CHF for the dogs in the SANFL, my understanding is Alleway has no premiership medals while at Box Hill............

In regards to NA missing the likes of Josh Coulter and Walker, be honest with yourself, at this sttage of their career you can not mention these blokes in the same breathe as Gowans, Steinberner, Cochrane Brothers, and use what ever measure you want, games played, premiership medals, jack oatey medals, they are not in the same league and they do not have the same impact on their respective club and teams performance

Am I the only one here who thinks that CDFC fans have got a long season ahead of them if they're relying on the Cochranes to wrest them out of the mire? Solid players granted but hardly the types to dominate a game.
