DVDs of all non ABC covered SANFL game

In addition to a previous post I made, I chatted briefly to Charles from Pine Lodge today and he's willing to supply DVDs of all games he covers (ie every game except for ABC games) to SA Footy users for $25 each.
Charles has been covering SANFL games for 7-8 years but only has archives of the last 2-3 years since he started putting games onto DVDs.
No finals are covered as they're all done by the ABC.

All DVDs come with the radio commentary of that game on it if covered and Charles has introduced a new camera at some games this year so some game comes with 2 DVDS, one a wideveiw and the other the normal close up view.

If you're after any game the ABC don't/haven't covered ring Charles on 8271 1669 and tell him you've seen the details on SA Footy.
Depening on how busy he is, games can usually be picked up within a couple of days of games or perhaps sent out to you or your club.

Support him as he does a great job and $25 is a pretty damn good price compared to ABC games, etc.

Thanks Wedgie - great work from you both

There are some games that I need. They are even a great gift idea - I would buy games for friends that barrack for other teams.

Excellent

Does anyone know whether these DVD's would work on your average DVD players in the UK and other parts of the world?

Sounds good, but could you please clarify:

Is this a business, what does the money cover, is there a profit, and, if so, where do the $$ go?

Cheers

I bought a copy of the North/Sturt game and it is the best footy coverage I've seen. Wide angle, so you can see what's going on and entertaining/informative radio commentary. The problem with most televised games (particularly the AFL) is that they are so focussed on the ball carrier that you don't know what pressure he's under or what options he has, and the commentators are so fixated on one upping each other with "special comments" and "astute observations" that they don't actually call the game.

Love ya work, Charles!

Umm, Pine Lodge Studios is a business, no money goes to SA Footy if that's what you mean? Just the value of discounted DVDs to its users.

I'd say so, its not a matter or region but just a matter of if the DVD player plays them or not, there's no region inbuilt into them.

That's cool, just wanted to make sure the NAFC weren't getting anything from the sales.
I got stung by a sneaky NAFC raffle ticket selling lady at AO a couple of weeks ago. Very crafty she was, wearing blue, telling me it was all for charity - then I saw a rooster emblem on the back of a ticket!
Charity I wish! OUCH!

Charity I wish! OUCH!

Half the proceeds of North's raffle tickets DO go to charity, the Starlight Foundation I think from memory and its Starlight Foundation volunteers that sell them.
A nice gesture by North which others should follow if they don't already IMHO.

I was made aware of the 50% to Starlight after questioning her. Yes, a nice gesture, I just wished it was 100% at the time.

Is there an email address for this. I'd like to get a couple of dvd's - but am sitting in the wet and windy north west oif England. Phone calls are tricky due to the time difference.

Email or pm me (mailto:wedgie@rocketrooster.com) and I'll work it out for you.
Unless you want to wait and I'll ask Charles next time I buy a DVD off him.

Purch, if you were all there on the night, the Rooster emblem is on the FRONT of the ticket with the number just below it. Hell they even state Rooster raffle or NAFC raffle when people come into the ground.

Maybe a bit less fluid ant the Cathedral next time and you might even know what you purchased.

Buyers of the Port v West game may hear an unexpected voice calling the game with Damian Woodards...
