What is your favourite SANFL Club website? With nothing to do this evening I thought I would have a look over all the SANFL club websites and I must say there were a few that really impressed me so I thought I would get others opinions as well. I was really impressed with the fact on some sites you could actually listen to the club songs, although not on all and I was disappointed to find on some other sites you can't even find the words to some club songs let alone trying to play them. So I decided to rank them 1-9 on what I consider to be the best.

1 North Adelaide (very informative, love the rooster on the home page and play club song)
2 Central Districts (great layout, very informative and play club song)
3 Norwood (very informative and play club song)
4 Sturt (quite good, can play song)
5 Eagles (very informative, at least has song words)
6 Glenelg (at least has song words)
7 Port Magpies (disapointed to find no song)
8 South Adelaide (recent work been done, quite boring, no song)
9 West Adelaide (needs serious work, no song found)

EHL, I'm surprised that you seem to rate the sites predominantly on their information on the club songs... :?

Glenelg has the only site which provides weekly player statistics (kicks, marks handballs etc.) for both the League and Reserves teams

For example, see http://www.glenelgfc.com.au/stats_r05.htm

I reakon I downloaded both GFC songs from the GFC website. This was a while ago, before the recent revamp.

That's not the only components I used in marking the site Ecky. First of all I like looking at a site that is eye catching or appealing to the eye. I must admit I do enjoy the interactive component of a site eg Norths Rooster or club songs that you can download, and i also like to be able to look at the history of the club, statistics etc. I guess overall I used all of those aspects to judge. Remember this is only my personal opinion, everyones no doubt will differ in some way.

No worries, EHL. I realise that you looked at more aspects than that - it was just the club songs which your comments tended to focus on.

I think that comparing the websites is something which all clubs should be doing - if you took the best features from each site and put them together, you would get some VERY nice sites!

To tell the truth, there's a big difference between the best and worst official sites in the SANFL but I much prefer all the unofficial sites.
