Here's an interesting article I come across when browsing earlier today. Former Eagle big man Paul Lindsay is heading west to his former club East Fremantle
Paul Lindsay returns to Shark Park
Wednesday, 25 February 2009
The East Fremantle Football Club is proud to announce the return of Paul Lindsay.
The former Shark first played back in 1995, featuring in 47 League games before being drafted by the Geelong Football Club.
Paul featured in 6 senior games with the Cats before making the break to SANFL club, Woodville West Torrens where he carved out an impressive career, playing in 157 senior games as a ruckman come key forward.
Known for his aggressive style, at 198cm and 100kg Paul will be a handy acquisition to the Club’s big man stocks which currently features the likes of Griffiths, Dwyer, Doyle, McCarrey, Weller, Young and Johns, just to name a few.

More than likely wants to finish off where he started his career (home club/home state).

Then why didn't he do this last year when he wasn't playing for us.

Why?
I think it's fantastic he's having a final crack with the club he started at. Got the big frame right last year, made sure he was still devoted enough to do it. Good on 'im.

the key forward bit gets me
Wafl would be easier for him to play in than the SANFL .lets face it the last year he played he was almost gone by the end .Free kicks given away etc.

Paul was always giving away free kicks Micky..most of them not warranted..just ask him!!
Think Paul was always going to head home to Perth one day, had an assistant coaching position or under 18's job come his way he may have stuck around in Adelaide a bit longer.
Was forunate enough to see first hand the great job Paul did developing the Eagles Healthy Goals program that he presented in Primary Schools in the Eagles Zone over a number of years, probably one of the best examples of white line fever you would come across, will watch with interest how he goes at the sharks.

Good luck to him. Gave the Eagles brilliant service. One of the best ruckman the old or new Eagles ever had. I doubt any Eagles supporter would not wish him well in the WAFL this season.

Columbo was he still employed at the Eagles this year? Was the amount of work he did at the Eagles off field ever questioned?
