State Cheersquad

FRIDAY, MAY 26
South Australia vs. Western Australia, Adelaide Oval (night)

We are conducting a State Cheersquad for the match against Western Australia. We are looking to get as many people involved as possible, our biggest aim is to have a good amount of representatives from all clubs. We’ll each (The Organisers) be putting in a sum of money to help pay for the making of flags and other items, if anyone else who gets involved is willing to put in any money or offer anything we’d be VERY happy.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DONATE TO BE INVOLVED, PRESENCE IS THE BIGGEST THING!

We’ll be trying to get in-touch with every SANFL club to see what they can offer us, so if anybody has good contact with their club and can offer any help in that area it would be much appreciated. On Friday this week we’ll be spending a good amount of time making the Flags and Floggers for the match, it’s very important to have colour representing our state in my opinion.

We will assemble in the North-Eastern Pock, under the scoreboard that way anybody who is already there, will get involved. Also, anybody who can donate club flags or even their own that would be good (For creating one major flag with all nine club logos, and SANFL logo.

If we get actively involved in creating this Cheersquad, not only will it bring our Cheersquad and supporters of the SANFL even more together, but also it could in fact make a different to the direction of supporters in our game. Seeing the amount of support we’ve got there on TV, could in fact motivate people to get out to more SANFL games. If not, well a big Cheersquad either way!

If you are interested please get in contact with Tom 0431629115 from the Sturt Cheersquad or PM myself.

SBR, Sam_gouuudogs and Tom – Organisers.

Please get involved!

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks, Luke.

Would also like to add, that any money which can be donated can be sent to a commonwealth bank account, or given to Sam in the city, any spare money that's left over we'll give to a charity (Perhaps salvation army at the gates?)

How about getting heaps of scarves from each club and sticking them together with the SANFL logo in the middle?

And to get on TV as much as possible, we should do the end to end thing to be at the SA goal each quarter.

Anything like this, end-to-end is an option on the day, depending on how many we get etc. So we'll assemble at the Hill to start.

Also as i've added on article:

Hopefully a lot of lads get the state guernsey to wear at the game or any red, blue and yellow coloured tops. Crows shit isnt acceptable cos we're not at a crows game.

Good stuff lads, I'll put it up as a sticky until the game.
I'm a bit old for cheersquads but will there in support either in front of the scoreboard bar or in the members taking photos (usually for a qtr and then after the game).

This game should have been made for a Saturday arvo, but thanks to the AFL, that couldn't happen.

The game will probably not be live, it will more than likely be recorded and shown the next day.
