There is a rumour going round (in The Advertiser) that there's going to be 3 games at Thebby next year.

Thebarton is a neutral ground - we have moved one home game there this year - others programmed by the SANFL - doesn't mean that WWT will automatically be programmed for all or any of the games at Thebarton.
not that they would but ?

Neutral ground?
Come on cd, don't you guys get to train there and play more games (including some trials) there than other clubs?
IMHO you have a bigger advantage at Thebby than at Woodville as other clubs are less used to it.
Good on yas though, if you can sneak it past the SANFL without too much complaint from the other clubs you're made if you don't!

Very true wedgie but unlike the Eagles the other clubs won't have a pathetic whinge, cry and complaint session about other clubs at the league meeting like the Eagles CEO does each time!

If you mean do we hire the oval as our summer home as we can't train at Woodville due to cricket commitments that is correct.
If you mean we get a trial game at the ground we've trained on in preseason that is correct.
If you mean we've been scheduled there for 4 league games in 2 seasons that is correct.
Could other games be scheduled there eg South v Centrals - up to others to pursue - but with finals at Adelaide, clubs would want to get to play there i'd expect before Thebby.
Do we have a link to Thebby - certainly - Did it prove an advantage last Sunday?
Appreciate your 'good on ya'

Well CD your on dangerous ground arguing as a club official on an open forum! How about the WWTFC and the Council and the League address the standard logistics that should have been sorted when planning for games there? People having to go outside the ground to use the toilets? Time clock the size of Tom Thumb and a scoreboard that you wouldn't be able to see if you were using the hubble telescope from the other side of the ground? Now the league are desperate in trying to hire a traffic sign as a temp measure. I'm sure it is not all the WWTFC fault but you would have a hand in it!

Appreciate your last comment Drebin.
None of what above i've said is not public knowledge and didn't think i was arguing - There are things i wouldn't nor couldn't discuss being a club director but whenever I can i will contribute and will use my name up front - if a personal viewpoint i have always tried to make that clear in my posts.
Scoreboards are staffed by SANFL officials at all grounds - except maybe Adelaide.
Gate staff etc also SANFL at all grounds.
Provision of Scoreboard with ground owner and i know being worked on by the council.
AAMI stadium staff did the catering on Sunday. Catering will be ours to do at Glenelg game at Thebby only, as this is the day we control. Will be same arrangements for the North game as for last Sunday.
Not aware of any issues re the toilets - however if there were problems i'd encourage supporters to let the West Torrens Council know.
The West Torrens Council are being very supportive of the SANFL and whilst Thebby might not be as it was in its heyday, I congratulate the Council and the SANFL on bringing back a traditional footy venue to our league.

You may want to chase up the toilet issue as a caller rang the 5AA Sports Show the other night and mentioned having to outside the ground to use the toilets and that is not safe for kids etc. Surely that wouldn't apply all over the gound?

Thanks Drebin
The loos at the back of the stands certainly within grounds - not sure about the outer as fence has been moved with redevelopment of playgrounds , carparks, wetlands etc near Ashley street.
Will check though

I was at the game on Sunday and I did not have to leave the ground to use the toilets. If people have to leave the ground to use the ones outside then it's their fault for not looking for the ones inside the ground.

Why dont you use your energy to lobby your own club to fix up that s@#$t hole excuse for an Oval surface you use at Prospect Drebin - bring THAT up to standard. Also how about doing something about those woeful away-changerooms - they are a health hazard! And get your own backyard spic-n-span before you start heaping s%^&t on other clubs venue responsibilities! And get off CDs back - I enjoy his involvement in the forum, pity more officials didnt have the time and fortitude to post here.

When would you have been in the away changerooms at Prospect - unless you are a.......?
You can guess what word I would like to use
P.S. Sorry not a groundskeeper - I even get Jim's mowing to do my own garden! Nothing new in what you say about Prospect so you can yell and scream all you like - it hasn't helped the NAFC with the council - they own the oval and the buildings. Hardly on CD's back! Find me another post where I have criticised him? In fact I was very complimentary to him in a PM tonight and also last year re another matter. He at least responded like an adult - maybe you should try that?
Hmm name of "sus", knows a lot about men's changerooms and a fixiation for men on others men's backs? - guess which word finishes my first line?
