Apparently there is a game on at Coopers tonight?

With less than six hours until bounce down, I am struggling to recall so little hype/interest in a Norwood v Sturt Friday night game...
Little interest on safooty, no ads on radio or in the paper...What is it?
Have Norwood thrown in the towel in 2009?
Are these traditional rivals not as big a draw card anymore?
Get along to The Parade from 7.40pm for what will be a tight contest. Norwood's season is on the line and it won't be all Sturt, despite the negativity surrounding the 'Legs.

Didn't see the story in the Tiser? A whole page dedicated to the 'Legs and Sturt game.

And a 2 page thread on SAFooty for a good team playing a team that has only beaten the bottom 2:
http://www.safooty.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22615Neither side can even beat a mediocre team like North on their own grounds!
Perhaps we should get a blimp and a spruiker happening to compliment what is now 2 threads and huge coverage in the paper?

Did see it actually DW, but from my point of view it talked more about Norwood's poor season thus far after expectations were so high.
If you read the smaller article down the side column, it talks about Norwood's bad record under lights at home.......
Not exactly a glowing proomotion of the game, in fact, if I was a neutral I would probably choose to stay in and watch Carlton v W Coast.
That's my two cents anyway.

Fancy that, a smart arse reply from Wedgie!
Usually there is a little more hype surrounding this game, that is all I am getting at. As for your point about pages dedicated on here, Port v West has more interest so read into that what you will.
I guess with the banter on this post, already the interest has increased

Most of us will be mate and it has nothing to do with any media coverage, more to do with the SANFL being at its lowest ever standard. It really is crap this year (not to blame Central who try to lift the standard of the other clubs).
Warm fire with cheap beer, the missus and a choice of things to watch and do or a cold night standing on cement drinking expensive beer watching mediocre football whilst getting harassed by Sturtpeter and having to pay for taxis.
Hmmm, hard choice.

Your opinion I guess Wedgie. If you are basing it on Sturt v North @ Unley a few weeks back, then yes the standard is poor.
I actually think my side has played some terrific footy at times this year.

Nah mate, basing it on the 9 games I've watched or been too and what everyone else has been saying.
Throw into the equation that clubs are willing to charge up to $9 for a can of crap booze and its a wonder as many go that do, probably just blind loyalty.

Who's charging $9?
I thought $6 at Unley was a bit rich...

As mentioned, there has been the usual advertisements in print media and I have heard the game (and the entire round) promoted on radio...
Perhaps because it is the week after the State Game bye that it doesn't seem to be as much coverage but I will be in attendance at tonights game looking forward to the clash.
Am interested to see how Norwood go about getting their season back on track and will be curious to see how the half dozen Sturt players that played in Perth last weekend play after running around on the heavy ground and dealing with the travel aspect.
My tip, Sturt by 5 or 6 goals.

The Bay, its not far off at other grounds too and at most grounds you get the choice of paying that or drinking shit beer for $6 plus.
At least for the last few years Tooheys New was an option but not this year.

Stay home Wedgie.
We don't need North supporters at this game. Go to your own game with your attitude like it is.

We'll all be better off!
