Quote of the Year

My god, the Port supporters on the outer side were unbelievable today, luckily they had no comeback to me all day as I wore my Roosters cap and they seemed embarassed about remembering last week.
Anyway, Quote of the Year happened on the way to Borat's car afterwards, some clown's hung out of a car and carried on like peanuts and Borat made a passing comment about the "ferals".
Two woman probably about 60 were walking next to us and one starts going off about "Genelg" fans going back to "Genelg".
When Borat pointed out the word is actually GLenelg as its a paledrome she started F'ing this and F'ing that in front of Borat's young son abusing us.

And here it comes
"I know what a paledrome is, I live in one!"

WTF???

Christ, did I laugh.

She might be confusing it for an igloo...or a round tent.

Humorous story, but I think you mean "palindrome" :) I've had many an enjoyable time observing the wildlife at Alberton.

hehe, that's it, I did go to Mitchell Park High which probably isn't much higher than some of the eductaional instituations down at the Port.
Plus I was just trying to quote the way that Borat and the Port woman said it.

Yep, it's all true...

To add a little to the story, as we were walking through the carpark, a Port "fan" was SCREAMING at his circa 8 y.o. Son

"GET IN THE FUUU+++++++++ CAR, GET IN THE FU++++++ CAR"

I said to my Son, see mate, that's what Port Fans are like, they are feral...

She was near us, and said "did you call me a feral?"

I was explaining that no, i hadn't...

She then launched at us.

My final response was along the lines of "Now that you have opened your mouth, thanks for proving the story that all Port fans are indeed, ferals"

Wedgie and I were absolutely besides ourselves wondering what the palindrome that she lives in look like.

Even her Port friend was trying not to laugh!

New SAFooty competition:

Guess the palindrome that this Port supporter lives in:

I'll start the ball rolling:

Oozy rat in a sanitary zoo

Butt tub

Dumb mud

Emils slime

kayak

Maybe she lives in 2002 or 1991?

Having seen her I would have thought 1881 might have been closer to the mark though.

That probably takes the cake for the most unintelligent remark I've known from a spectator.

In 2001 at Elizabeth, one Dogs fan told Dad to look at the scoreboard - the scores were 10.4 each.

Agreed, I thought a South supporter had it rapped up at the Glenelg v South game a couple of weeks ago when he abused Richard Williams by saying "You're so blind you're a guide dog!".

WTF?? :?
