If you are not a footy park member, good chance to get in there.

Just for the record, when was the last time people were allowed onto Football Park after a match? ... I can't remember, but assume it was pre-'91 sometime.

And is this not the first time people have been allowed onto the hallowed turf before the end of a match there?

Excuse the alzheimers thanks ...

I reckon this is the first time (that I'm aware of) that fans are allowed for a kick at half time...

In regards to after the match, I think with most GF's in recent seasons, once ALL players are off the ground and done their victory lap, they let people on the oval for a kick and a catch. I remember in 2007 being in the outer opposite the members and after the celebrations were done, crossing AAMI Stadium to get to the other side where the car was parked in West Lakes Mall.

What would I know about what happens on the ground after an SANFL Grand Final??? Sorry, didn't hang around that long last year ;)

OK, apart from SANFL GFs then.

I still think this is the first time we've been allowed on during a game break ... ah, the old redcoats will be turning in their graves!

So true

It would be worse for them than in 2000 or 2001 when the SANFL handed out those stuffed mini-footballs and fans were lobbing them onto the ground during the play when on the outer side near the boundary

Still remember Dickie Williams picking a few of them up and ditching them back into the crowd :D

I stand (self) corrected, only one other occasion where people we on the ground before the end of the match ... the '76 GF when God knows who many sat on the ground in front of the fence, unbelievable scenes.
