It's good for those players to sign on the dotted line for at least 1 year.

For my mind its a great thing for the club to do at this time of the year .Keeps local clubs away from the likes of Treeby and Powell.
I do wonder if Mick Godden had anything to do with early signings to make sure he had certain players already sown up for next year .
Well done Eagles !!

I always find it amusing/bemusing the way there has to be a scripted quote from the club from any players re-signing about how they're happy, excited and see a great future blah blah blah. I can't stand it. Just seems to be a form of propoganda the clubs make the players go through.

I think its great my club keeps supporters well informed. I hope this continues under Godden's tenure.
I would have liked to have seen Jarrad's name there but maybe he is already under contract?

If he did have anything to do with any of the signings, how can he still be involved at Glenelg?

Isn't his role at Glenelg simply Reserves coach? The signing of players would be the remit of the CEO and/or senior coach and/or Football Manager wouldn't it?

Yes, he is coaching Glenelg and
could well be deciding the Eagles future list. Conflict there somewhere?

LOL, what part of Mick Godden is at Glenelg until his commitments finish on Oct 4 don't people understand?
Surely can't be that hard!

If he had anything to do with the signings I find it odd he continues at Glenelg. If he didnt I find it strange the Eagles would sign players to long term deals with out asking him.
You're right, it
isnt that hard.

I'm sure he could have managed to have a chat with some of the Eagles players as well as keep his mind on the Glenelg ressies job... it's amazing what people can do if they put their mind to it...

It's very simple. He's convinced all the Glenelg people he's 100% committed to them until Oct 4 all the while slyly looking at his side and working on a few blokes who can't get a gig with Glenelg's league team.......

Aside from poaching Glenelg players, which I think both Godden and the WWTFC would be far too professional to do, where else could there be any conflict?

What happens if Glenelg lose both the Reserves and League Prelim finals dedja? Does that mean he'd still finish on October 4th. At least you are positive about your club, unlike some on here who arn't as positive about my club.

Godds will be at the B & F and that's his last official function for the Glenelg Football Club.
I'm sure when the Eagles & Godds went through the process and discussed the job, they would've talked about list management.

LOL, no nothing wrong at all ... the funny bit is just the few that mention the conflict of interest conspiracy stories.
