cd wrote:This year we are honouring the history of the two clubs that were the basis of our foundation.
At the home match we are playing at Thebarton on Saturday June 17th. we will wear the 1955 West Torrens big golden Eagle jumper - when this jumper was first worn.
As this is a WWTFC home match transferred from Woodville Oval - Home Match tickets are valid.
West Torrens Triple Magarey Medallist, Captain, Coach and Club President, and current WWTFC Life Govenor, Lindsay Head will be interviewed on the oval prior to the main game.
West Torrens Player, Coach, football administrator, AFL CEO, Wayne Jackson to toss coin.
Other Torrens stars will be in attendance - stories should be good!
Reserves commence at 11:20am to enable presentations to occur prior to main game at 2:20pm
Presentations after the game will take place for members at 6:15pm in the Banquet Room at Thebarton Oval - not back at the Woodville rooms.
The signed players jumpers from this game will be on offer on E-bay on Monday 19th June.
Come along and join in the honouring of the West Torrens Football Club - for original Torrens fans a chance to dust off the blue and gold gear!

North added more white when they brought in their Where's Wally socks. I've heard it was an attempt to target the under 10's market, but every chance the socks will be put back into the sin bin after research from the Thebarton Oval game shows young North Adelaide supporters frustrated and turning away from the game in droves. Young 8 year old Lewy explained, "...the game is just too hard, I was meant to find 21 Where's Wally's throughout the day, but it was just impossible. I don't think there were 21 at all. They were all missing. And after the third quarter it got so dark all I wanted to do was go home". Angry parents have demanded a refund or proof that there were indeed 21 Where's Wally's on the field.
