Three weeks to determine the destiny of my beloved Bays.

Dare I say it the next three weeks will determine if Glenelg are contenders or pretenders for 2006

Eagles, Centrals and North will speak volumes for our chances of playing in the major round, prior to our next bye. If we play like we did in rounds two to four and the 1st half against Norwood we will be a chance of pinching one or all of those games.

To pinch one of these games and it will set us up at 6 and 6 with 8 games to go, five of those remaining games will be against sides below us (South twice, West, Sturt and Norwood once each). Even if we lose our next three games we will still be a chance provided we beat the teams below us. 10 wins should get us into the finals.

I am not suggesting we will win those five games but realistically if we can't beat teams below us we don't deserve to play finals footy.

So Boys, who are going to see for the next three rounds, the round 2-4 Bays or the Bays we saw against Sturt....

IF we play the the hard, disciplined, smart and selfless footy we have demonstrated we can play this year, well the results will take care of themselves.

The best part of our current position is our destiny is in our hands - we have the power to make it happen.....

A lot could be riding on the last minor rd game at Adelaide Oval - South v Glenelg @ 12:15

I think you'll get done by the Eagles and North but the Dogs game will be a close one, if you can sneak over them it'll be a great battle for the 4th and 5th spot between the Bays, South and the Dogs IMHO.

I'd love to have some faith in the Bays getting there, but I don't think they will win either of those 3. They aren't going to be big losses, but no victories to come. Glenelg and South to battle out for 5th spot imho and I don't really know which one is better.

Good luck. Hope you win them (except for the one against the Dogs. We have already suffered at your hands enough this year!!!!!)

IMHO the Bays are a better side than South. I think they will make the 5 and if they play at their best could cause a bit of damage.

The Bays have been better so far, but I think we are building toward something and have the 'potential' to finish strongly if the improvement continues.

I certainly have a lot more respect for the Bays this year after they thumped us. Looking at the table I think this is one of the most open seasons for years. I wouldn't even write off West yet because they have showed that if they turn up switched on they can beat the likes of Port. There have been many ups and downs from all teams so far this season. My mighty doggies thumped Norf and then got trounced by South. I think all teams have stories like that. The prize top three spots will go to the sides that can start to string wins together consistently. Hopefully history will repeat and we will be up there come September.

The bays won't win beat the Eagles in the Underage games come Saturday at Glenelg. Well, they shouldn't.

well its going to be an interesting 3 weeks coming up. They should be competitive in all three matches, shouldnt fear the Eagles as we knocked them over at home earlier in the year and we held them off when they made a strong challenge. North well i think they will beat us quite comfortably, hopefully another shootout looming. The Dogs well lets hope we get them on a nice sunny dry day like it was when we smashed them by 95 points, no reason why we cant win at least one and possibly 2.

I agree that we have to beat teams below us to deserve any right to finals, but id like to think that we can knock over the top teams as well!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope that in the next 3 weeks they can play the way they did against centrals and the way they did in the first half on monday for the whole four quarters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go u mighty tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which games will Gibbs and Sellar miss due to the underage carnival? Even though they're young, they are obviously special talents and good league players already with Gibbs perhaps in the Cooney/Griffen mould and Sellar similar to what Pavlich was. How important are they to the make up of the league team?

Well, Sellar played in the reserves on Monday...

I believe both will miss the next 3 weeks.

Mickan has these boys well prepared.
Sensational first quarter record in 2006.
9 GAMES AND ARE LEADING IN ALL 9 GAMES AT QUARTER TIME.
The boys are playing for the guernsey.
Not like last year when the ' culprits nearly butchered them' !
As MT79 half mentioned wet tracks ????
Will make the 5

Uv sold the dogs for 80cents there. I think their value is closer to $1.30.

Souths best football will be better than Glenelg. The question is whether or not their middle of the road or poor form is better than the bays. Thats the form that will decide fifth spot in my opinion.

Some interesting points made, Ta to everyone. I actually think we are more of chance this week compared to North or Centrals but I am not confident. Over the past three years we have shown that we match up well against the Eagles (particularly in the midfield) e.g. last years game when we were 4 goals up and lost by 9 pts and our win this year is the biggest win between the two teams since the beginning of last season.

I think the hardest thing about this year is that for all teams there has been a large gulf between each teams best and their worst. If either of Eagles, North or centrals take Glenelg lightly we will win, conversely if Glenelg go in with a half ar5ed attitude we will get belted.

Deep down I'm sure we are all thinking what version of my team is going to show up this week.......... :?: [-o<

I agree Tassie that at our very best we can push all three sides but will we produce when needed.

Saw the Central V Sturt game at the "playground" last week and suggest that we have a better than 50% chance to win the Central game at Glenelg.

well MUNGO the panthers already had that chance down at Noarlunga (arctic park) when they lead by 28 points 18 minutes into the 3rd quarter but then what happened?

they couldnt hold out the strong, tough tiger challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

South arent better then glenelg but i do hope they are better then west today!!!!!!!!!
