Correct MT79

On the eastern side of Unley Rd, just south of the Cremorne Hotel.

An excellent collection of old SANFL budgets, cards and other memorabilia - well worth a visit for anyone interested in SANFL history.

Good win by North on Friday night over the Double Blues after being down by 6 goals at half time. Scott Bamford looks like he could play for another 3 years and Sturt didn't have any answers in the second half for a rampant Daniel Motlop who ended up kicking 5.5.
Sounded like Joe Pedler mania was on at the Parade after he kicked the first goal for his career. Norwood in the running throughout the evening but Eagles came up trumps in the end. Must have been some game from Eagle ruckman Paul Lindsay who ended up with what must be close to an SANFL record with 48 hit outs!
As has been mentioned by many, not sure of the wisdom of playing two games on a Friday night on a weekend where there is no Saturday or Sunday afternoon football in the AFL.

Jars put a rocket up the Roosters, the Bays are on the slide,
But do the Doggies or the Eagles look the better side?
So it's a return to 'grassroots' in the SANFL,
A chance to shine while the big boys take a spell.
So why on Friday night play 2 games at once?
To halve your crowd you'd be a bit of a dunce.
And then on Saturday to play only ONE game,
Before it's down to Noarlunga in the wind and the rain.
To spread the round so thin seems a bit mad,
When there are so many Crows fans with time on their hands.

Glenelg have kept their hopes alive of becoming the first team since the legendary undefeated Port Adelaide side of 1914 to go through a whole season leading every game at quarter time. The only other team to be in front at quarter time in their first 11 games of a season was Norwood in 1922.

So if you are looking for a new challenge now that Joe Pedler has kicked a goal, I suggest you give an award to the first team to be in front of Glenelg at quarter time, as this is proving to be a more difficult feat to achieve!

The 2006 season could well resemble the happenings of Round 12 of SANFL action. Four teams stood head and shoulders above the rest in the minds of SANFL followers before Round 1 and despite some spirited moments, three of those four teams came to the fore when it mattered most this weekend with Port still to play South at what will be a horny Noarlunga Oval on Sunday afternoon. On a frosty but still winters night the exciting Roosters blew away a troubled Sturt in a mercurial second half performance highlighted by the magic of Motlop. He kicked 5 goals in a 41 point win at The Oval. At the same time just a hop, skip and jump to the east, a hardened Eagles outfit out classed and out lasted a gallant Norwood side at Coopers Stadium to win by 21 points to sour Brett James' testimonial match. Paul Lindsay stood tall in a best on ground display and Joe Pedler, inspired by C31, kicked his first goal of perhaps many in his 90th match of league football. Saturday afternoon at Glenelg Oval saw Central complete their return to form by righting the wrongs of Round 3 and belting the Bays to the tune of 68 points. Round 12 showed just who are the contenders and pretenders in 2006.

Any entries this week lads?

How about:

South show they're the real deal,
North make Glenelg into a muddy meal,
Central beat west in a soccer score,
Who will win out of Norwood and Port to knock on the finals door?
