Just type 'West Torrens heritage guernsey' into the seearch window. I noticed they started Haydn Skipworth's at $500 - I thought that was a bit rich. Normal starting price is $55.

S'Bob Hank's number though - that would be the attraction (although I wouldn't part with $500)

Bit dissapointing I thought they were only releasing the 21 actually used jumpers I see they are actually auctioning of around 25 + guernseys.

Life Governors jumpers - Bob Hank and Lindsay Head are the 2 with the higher reserve.

To honour the 1955 players, especially those who were at the ground on Saturday, we made sure their number was also in the list eg #17 Lindsay Head even though current #17 Bernie Vince played for the Crows - therefore more than the 21 jumpers used on Saturday to show respect to those great players of 1955 who were the first to wear the Eagle.

Thanks to Chris K from Channel 31 we have a photo of the 1922 West Torrens team that finished 3rd in that season - uniform looks as if was a yellow jumper with a blue sash - guessing as is black and white photo but the jumper is light with a dark sash. Can any one confirm?

Lindsay Head's #17 is also starting at $500.

Judging by this photo of David Low and the fact that Torrens never changed their colours I'd say that's spot on. Also somewhere I've seen a photo of the West Torrens "Patriotic" team from WW1 and they are wearing the same jumper.

Sorry to re-hash, but the surely the jumpers are "tainted" with the Hills logo on them?
All clubs entering into Heritage Jumpers should take note of North (& Sturt iirc), & exclude their sponsor from the jumper (& also tacky laces)

The Hills Hoist was invented in 1946. So it's not out of place. :P
North included on last year's guernsey a SANFL symbol and Club coat of arms that hadn't been invented in the 1920's. How pedantic do you want to get?
Although I agree with you about the fake laces.

You've been listening to too much Fallout Boy/Blink 182 LL!
At least North's Coat of Arms was in the right spirit (as was the ye olde SANFL logo).
I just think the Eagles could've made more of it, by being sponsor free.

I have a (very damaged) photo of the 1945 WT team. This is also black and white and the sash looks darker than the body. I've often wondered whether the guernseys were yellow, or the photographer was using a weird filter.

in 2005 the sunday mail produced a poster with all the jumpers of the premiership teams
it lists for west torrens;

1924 - blue with gold stripes. Gold collar and trim
1933, 1945 & 1953 - Blue with gold sash. Gold trim and collar

In some old black & white photos darker colours appear lighter... maybe this is the case with these photos.

Amazingly West & South have won only 2 premiership in their current jumper, Glenelg 3. North have won only two premierships in the red jumpeer with the 'Victorian' style V.

Yeah, but even more amazingly, Glenelg has won 75% of its flags in its current jumper!
