If noone can help I suggest you send an email to the SANFL as they can be quite helpful and quick to get back to people:
mailto:development@sanfl.com.au
Is there any particular area you're interested in, most of the country zones we'd know on here, I dunno if its any help but I live on the border of 3 clubs (Glenelg, South and West) living at Happy Valley (everything West of here is Glenelg. Everything South of here is South and everything North East from here is West)

I'm not sure about Paradise but I'd be very confident in saying Woodcroft would be South's area.
My guess for Paradise would be Norwood's area.

That's wouldn't be a bad addition to this website - a picture of the clubs' zoning areas. I have seen one on the internet, but I think it was made 10 years ago, I can't remember the address and it's probably out of date.

Hi Jayjake
Following is a "map" showing old and new boundaries. More information is available in the Information Booklet produced by the North Adelaide Football Club (see links below).
Metropolitan Information Booklet (Pages 1-21)
http://www.nafc.com.au/common/uploaded_ ... rt%201.pdf
Metropolitan Information Booklet (Pages 22-37)
http://www.nafc.com.au/common/uploaded_ ... rt%202.pdf
Country Information Booklet
http://www.nafc.com.au/common/uploaded_ ... ooklet.pdf
The second document contains contact details for the development officers for all zones in case you don't live in the North Adelaide zone.
Paradise is probably Norwood and Woodcroft would be South Adelaide. The child's mother's home address is generally used to determine zoning unless the child lives with the father more than 50% of the time.
Also try checking Norwood and South's websites for information about Junior Development.
Regards
Gilly

Having a look at the map in the North Metro Booklet, Primrose Avenue is just inside Norwoods' boundary, given it is just south of the Torrens River.

Is it just me, or is Port's zone blatantly unfair? Bugger all people live in those areas!
If Port's rorting the cap then good on them. What else can they do, recruit bugs from the frigging mangroves and dolphins from the port river?

No, they've got all of the Lefevre Peninsula, Semaphore, Alberton, Rosewater, Pooraka, half of Salisbury, plus the growing area of Mawson Lakes and Parafield Gardens, Paralowie, and Burton, Virginia, I think it is not too small of a space.

Each zone is based on the number of schools in the area, both primary and secondary. This is so each club has basically the same number of kids to pick from for their junior grades.

This will only affect the Port Magpies. Unless they get Yatala in their zone anyway.

Don't Port also have the West Coast (Lincoln, Tumby, Cleve, Kimba etc)??
Whilst we're on this subject, a (kinda) related question ... Can the Father-Son SANFL rule skip a generation?
Ie, If James Gowans had daughters, who then had sons, could they qualify for Father-Son and head straight to Centrals as Grandsons?

That's very amusing Pseudo. I just re-read what I wrote. I meant to say that the applicable zone is the
family's home address. In the unfortunate event that the parents have separated, the mother's address is used unless the child spends more time living with the father.
Just for the record, Yatala is in North Adelaide's zone but there are no children spending at least 50% of their time with their fathers at that particular hotel.

Zones are done on the census figures of males aged 15 (I think it is 15 years of age)
There is a census this year and details come out in 2007 from the federal govt.
Zones are likely to be reviewed on this data in late 2007/early 2008 with clubs able to make submissions - thus zones may change in a couple of seasons time.
Happy to be corrected if i have any of this incorrect - think i'm right though re process - timetable may be out though
