A big thanks to the South Adelaide Footy club for ruining what otherwise could have been enjoyable day, we got music and crap blasted at us from the loud speakers at about 150 decibels and then after each South goal and at the start and end of every quarter a running commentary from some moron that thought he was announcing a boxing match. Catering was great but whoever is handling the marketing down there should be immediately fired. I heard calls from both South and North supporters that they'd never be back as it was THAT annoying.
Ive just got back from the Chemist as I have a very bad headache from the pa and its moron announcer, thanks South and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Idiots.

Alleway got 3 and Gill got 2

3rd qtr by North sounded pretty good. Listening in, Allan and Thring were outstanding and Whyman and Wundke were very good inclusions this week.

Seems we went to sleep in the last qtr allowing South to outscore us when we should have pressed on for the % boost.

Good win for North though and for me, a much better coverage by RPH this week. thanks guys

Radio mentioned the volume of the music too. It was so loud I think they had to cut back to the studio.

Had to listen to that in Round 1. BAD idea Panthers  We want to watch a football game not have our senses assaulted by an obnoxious, overbearing noise that makes you think you are at an American basketball game :?

Alleway also kicked three goals.

Very good performance by North across all areas of the ground. They were outscored in the last term 7-4 to 6-0 but shouldn't be too disappointed with that. Interesting to see how free flowing the game was a lot of the time, and how much of it was played in open space at times.

Allan was fantastic all day with 38 disposals, but the best game I've ever seen from George Thring. 35 disposals and made them all count, finished off with three goals also, just kept breaking the lines. Djaran Whyman showed how valuable he is to the forward setup with four, and can also have stints through the middle. James Craig had some very good moments in ruck, certainly learning parts of the ruck game, but work around the ground keeps improving. Gill could have had five or six, notching four behinds, and their work from the defensive half was usually very fluid.

South will take heart from still breaking the 100 point barrier in a loss and their final term, but a few of the names that lifted them in the first two games were quieter. North applied a clamp to Nick Liddle and he found space hard to come by. Peter Rolfe excellent for much of the day, as well as Curtis Perrey, while Nick McKenna is showing some solid signs in ruck that him and Cockshell can form a partnership that may be hard for opposition to match up on. They don't play fully traditional ruck roles - more like tall followers at times, so need close monitoring also.

"North applied a clamp to Nick Liddle and he found space hard to come by."

interesting terminology..........I think impartial observers would perhaps call it something else.

Nice day today at Noarlunga but that clown who kept talking crap through the PA whenever South kicked a goal was pretty bloody annoying. Also the music they kept blasting out, a few of us were trying to have a chat and had to shout at each other.

I think South's bubble well and truly burst today, if we had kicked straighter and didn't stop in the last 10 minutes we would have won by 15 goals.

An easy win but should have been in all seriousness 100+ given the following:

- North missed so many east shots - many from set shots after good lead up play. Lucky Gill is still generous in terms of his kicking but he played very well.
- North gifted South 6 goals from shocking turn overs when under no pressure.
- Only playing 2 and half quarters.
- Dominace in the midfield - Allan was unbelievable today!
- Height size and strength despite not having either our number 1 or 2 ruckman available but South don't have an Alleway

When you are more than 10 goals up at 3/4 time then 82 up midway into the last we really dipped out on percentage to be honest

Still doesn't feel like a Suburban Ground with cars parked around the oval and a few supporters (only heard it with South goals to be honest) hapyt to be tooting their horns after goals???

Catering at Noarlunga is IMHO the best in the SANFL and the NAFC should take note.
I admire South for trying to market games etc but the match day announcing crap from the ground day announcer was not ony loud and annoying but was 10/10 for "cringe worthy" factor - thankfully we comfortaby won because god knows what he woukd have been like if it was close or South were winning??? Just on that point whatever figure the 'Tiser or SANFL put on todays crowd again there we're far far more visiting fans than those that follow South!

In summary - a much better performance in patches by North but a big missed oppotunity re a big percentage boost!

Is that the best you can come up with??? Seriously if you are going to be a sook about Strblings tagging role then have a look at your own teams pathetic attempts not only to take him out but the very "poor" in and under attacks on Allan - most after he had won a possession easily but because you didn't have a player of his skill and ability you resort to what the non neutrals would say were dirty tatics. You sook!.

I won't be going to Noarlunga anytime soon if South persist with the ground announcer. Was a good game of football, nice weather, ruined by stupid marketing ideas. Why they think that will attract supporters is beyond me.

Good work by the scoreboard attendant also.

My ears are still ringing. I've never been through anything like that. Seriously how anyone thinks that what is being done at South home games is a good idea is beyond me.

Didn't North invent the disaster that is using pa during play with the cockle-doodle-doo?

Stribling did an awesome tagging effort like he does most weeks, kept Gum to 3 kicks a couple weeks back, very underestimated in his team orientated game.

This thread is the first news I have had from Noarlunga all day, thanks to the GFC scoreboard not having any scores from other grounds. Pretty poor effort - and I don't think the attendant is either a volunteer or 13 years old ;)

That is one sound, today we had commentary of each and every goal kicked by South!
