Fringe Players to Move On

With the June 30 deadline approaching us its the time of the year a lot of fringe league or consistent reserves players move into the amateur ranks or the country ranks as they realise their opportunities are limited in the SANFL.
Anyone heard of some that have left so far?
Nick Heath who is a North ruckman who got dropped from No 2 to No 3 ruckman thanks to the arrival of Brett O'Hara played with Adelaide Uni on the weekend.
I've heard that Demasi and Webb from South have moved on to (thanks to CA on footysa).

They mentioned on RPH yesterday morning that Demasi is waiting on a clearance to West. In the meantime he will play for Goodwood until it is all organised. Not sure how much truth there is in that.

I think you'll find he only played for Loxton North on the weekend as Westies had the bye. Could be wrong...but I wouldn't think so.

Todd Bennett also played A grade for Renmark on the weekend.

While the previous week North Adelaide's Shane Schubert apparently dearly wanted to play for Loxton - but was given some good advice not too.

Hasn't Schubert played some league this year? Did he just want to play as a one off or is he looking at leaving North?

Schubert has played every game i think. Has been excellent as well. Really held the backline together in the abscence of some more high profile players. Is a key to our chances this year IMHO.

So why would he want to play for Loxton and need to be advised not to?

Jimminy crickets - having a bad day.

Yes Lewy has returned to Loxton North for good at this point. He's still working in Adelaide. And rumour has it that several SANFL clubs are fairly interested.

And Todd Bennett is Ryan's brother, not sure what I was thinking there. Silly boy.

As for Schuby - he apparently wanted to play for Loxton during North's bye. It's fairly common place for players from the Riverland to return to their home clubs during the SANFL bye - they're not usually playing at league level as regularly as 'Harry' is though. Anyways he was very keen to play for Loxton, the club he loves, but received advice that it wasn't a great idea.
No threat of leaving the Roosters. Which is great because he deserves his success.

Apparently Glenelg are interested in Scott Lewis.
He'll be a good pick-up.

Nick Heath actually went from number 2 ruck to 4th Behind 'Disco' Dan Wakelin and Matt Down. Down took over from Heath taking the main rucking responsibilities for the reserves out at north this year, Heath would come off the bench which is the position that Down played last year in the ressies. John Pratt's another quality hard nut player the Rooster reserves lost to Norwood earlier this year.

Fair to say he probably won't win the current poll on sanfl.com.au of who is the player with the most potential in the SANFL then?

I thought the same, aerie :)

Marcus McMillan has also gone home, due to a family illness.

Still plenty of potential. Just not in the SANFL at the moment.
