I would think it is to give the Clubs a chance to get their trainers and match day officials from one ground to the other for the League and Reserves games.

This happened during the Easter weekend aswell, but I think that the 17s/19s should be the normal time and the reserves start at about 5.10 pm.

Nice day if you're an official, MightyEagles. Start at about 9am to get ready to go to Adelaide Oval, then finish at about 9pm at Norwood Oval.

Common sense would say to make use of the trainers from the juniors games to assist with the reserves. I'm sure for one weekend that would be possible.

Can anyone tell me why they are having a double header for the league teams? Is there a special reason for it?

Common sense would say that, as trainers get to the ground up to 2 hours before a game and are still there nearly an hour after, three games in a day makes a very long day for a volunteer.

If it became a permanent thing where there were three games on a day uner 18's, reserves and league couldn't some kind of roster system be set up, so not all volunteers were expected there all day? As there is that push from a number of clubs.
