Good game of footy today with both teams scoring blocks of goals in bursts.. Credit to the eagles they didnt give when the dogs blew the margin out to 39 points in the 3rd qtr. But it was a solid performance from the dogs who when threatened had the answers and blew the margin back out to 4 goals. Go u dogs a game clear on top now plus a game in hand. Oh yeah umpiring was shit house.

For Centrals my best were Griffen, Lawry, Thomas, Hayes, C.Gowans, J.Gowans, O'Hara with special mentions to Hardy and Henderson (his seconds efforts today were brilliant and responsible for atleast two of our goals.)

Strangely at the beginning of the last quarter with the Eagles down by 3 goals Scott Welsh starts in the backlines.

Once again the umpiring was comical to say the least, absolutey disgraceful performance didn't favour any side was just really bad both ways.

yeah forgot about him, was very good once again, just the standard.

Thought Guilhaus was very good for the 'Dogs, every time he came on into the ruck we got a run on......MUST have compromising photos of the coach.

I thought Symes played a great game aswell.
Just on the way the eagles started the last quarter, they had a 7 man backline and a bit later in the quarter they had an 8 man backline.
I think they went back to a normal set up about half way through the quarter.

Yep, the umpiring was absolutely abysmal today. If the SANFL are unable to find 12 competant field umpires each week, maybe they need to revert back to 2 umpires for each game? They couldn't do any worse.

Another 3 magarey votes for wingnut today i think. Also, thought Ryan Williams and Griffin were good for the dogs. Once Brad Symes had lost all his Crows instincts and decided to kick the footy forward, he also had a good 1st game for the year.

I couldn't fathom why Salter was moved into defence half way through the last quarter while the game was still up for grabs. I'd have thought Welsh and Salter together up front could have created some havoc? Oh well, it's great to be on top and looking forward to Boyd making his debut next week against his former club............. maybe?

Very encouraging the way our lads were able to not just steady but pull away from a side that seems to have been finishing well this year.

Happy for you have a crack at explaining that performance......seemed to struggle walking in a straight line.......

Eagles were 2 goals up when he "made his presence felt" in the first quarter, scores were level when he fell off the bench in the second quarter..............

I didn't mind him being back there - I thought he was one of the players to get us back into the game late in the 3rd quarter when he moved into defence (probably that patch was the best footy he has played for us this year).

Centrals were far too good today - they punished our mistakes and showed some great ball movement at times running the ball from their backline to score at the other end without us getting a touch of it. The last two weeks against quality opposition has shown us where we are at.

Callinan for mine was BOG. His clearance work in the 1st quarter to set us up was outstanding.

Eagles have lost 2 in a row. Gawn

Always going to be tough for the Eagles to win this one.

Hats off to Centrals, they have been tremendous again.

No dout we are off the pace of a flag at this stage but Godden appears to be lifting the standars and the fact we didn't let it blow out is a good sign.

Really, our ladder position flattered us given our draw and anywher in the top four will be a good result.

Ruck and key defenders are where we struggle. Parry will get better as the season goes on but Dabrowski was a big loss.

How did McKenzie go today? Seems to have been a bit down on his usual high standards from the bits I ahve seen and read this year.
