Seen the Panthers a few weeks ago against Eagles and they were pretty impressive. went there today expecting a pretty good game. After quarter time, Panthers were pathetic!! Tigers would good, Ruory Kirkby very good I thought

Massive show of South supporters out there too.....

Glenelg played 2 good quarters of footy and cruised in the last...

Happy with the trifecta on wins (U18's, Ressies, League).

I did hear South were first at the footy all day, so count themselves unlucky again.

Bloody disappointing.
I thought we were in for a good game=contest at 1'4 time. The second quarter effort from South was appalling-9 goals to nil; then I thought the last 2 quarters were pretty even, but the damage was well and truly done.
Hate to say this but the Bays are the best side we have played so far this year, mind you we face the dogs this week. The umpiring was puzzling at times as well. ;)

Most weeks South are ahead at half time, this week we did one better, we were ahead at quarter time

To any South supporters out there....

Heard a rumour there were about 5 Under 16 Players running around in the Reserves against Glenelg. Is this true?

If yes, can anyone explain why SAFC would do this?
Why not promote U18s to Reserves and give them an opportunity instead of putting up U16s?

As the SAFC U16s finished their season in 6th position, the U18s are bottom without a win, and the Reserves are also bottom and winless, what is it meant to achieve?

could have something to do with the SANFL's absurd rule that they can't play u/18's in the 2's until after the championships to make it easier for the AFL scouts to do their job and compare apples with apples

Perhaps they've got half a dozen good under 16s and thought they could benefit from a few games in the ressies?

Nope because Armfield came up from the 18's for Glenelg and kicked 5.

My south seconds player at work told us there were about 8 under 18's getting promoted against Glenelg .

How was the umpiring at Noarlunga yesterday? I noted with interest that the umpire who was extremely generous to South the week before at Unley was part of the panel down South.I believe the same umpire may have played under-age footy for SA. :? According to the stats the Panthers did not fare quite so well in the free kick count this week-was he under a little extra scrutiny ? :-??

Glenelg 20- South 10. Still believe in your conspiracy theory? You can't tell me that 95% of the umps don't have a bias/allegiance to a club. I used to work with one who was a devoted Bays supporter.

Bays first to the footy all day, most of the frees were there. (one howler given to a ducking Bode in the second Q that lead to a goal was garbage, apart from that OK)

Well, an ordinary performance by South. Bays played some superb, skillful footy in the 2nd quarter, but we were completely unaccountable. South would have been lucky to have gone inside F50 more than 5 times for the quarter.

The game lacked any intensity after the long break, South salvaging something in a dull final quarter.

Thought that Rolfe was prehaps our best. O'keefe and Horne were reasonable. Cockshell was down on previous form, and the Bays dominated the clearences.

Elizabeth next week...joy.

 They still can't get over it from last week!!!!

My conspiracy theory with Sturt supporters about umpiring is showing some substance!!!! ;)

Who mentioned conspiracy? I am well aware of the free kick count at Noarlunga-that is why I asked about extra scrutiny of 1 individual. I was just interested to see that the same umpire got the same team twice in a row, after a seemingly poor performance the first week. Another league umpire had a very poor performance a few weeks ago and was dropped from the league panel by Shane Harris. Sorry that I posted any comment
