From the Advertiser:
HUGE GAME: KENNA
Momentum is building down at Noarlunga and South Adelaide's charges are determined to ensure it snowballs.
Not satisfied with breaking a multitude of records by thrashing Port Adelaide on Sunday, the Panthers want to cement their place in the SANFL's top five.
"Last week we won our second game in a row and we need to continue that momentum to get three in a row and keep in that five," South Adelaide rover Stephen Kenna said.
"It's pretty tight this year so we need to keep building momentum and keep winning games leading up to the finals." As a result, Kenna admits the Panthers' clash with unpredictable Sturt at Noarlunga tomorrow has taken on great importance. And the playing group is desperate to guard against complacency after toppling the highly-fancied Magpies.
"It's a huge game for us," Kenna, 24, said. "I suppose you could have a bit of a letdown when you beat Port who are a great team and you're playing Sturt who aren't having a big year. But this year anyone can beat anyone so we're not taking them lightly and we're pretty focused to put four quarters together."
Buoyed by the fans' unexpected response last week to allowing cars to park around the boundary line - the crowd was more than double its usual size - Kenna wants more of the same. And with the club making available extra spaces due to the strong demand, the pacy left-footer may get his wish. "It was a great atmosphere and it was the biggest crowd we've had at Noarlunga since I've been here," Kenna said. "It made the ground more packed and I'm sure we'll see it for the rest of this year and many more years to come."
South's confidence at selection was evident when coach Robert Pyman named an unchanged line-up.
Sturt was boosted by the inclusion of Power pair Toby Thurstans and Greg Bentley.
