CD 10 17 77
NA 5 3 33

Goals: Whyman 1.2, White 1.1, Gil 1 0, Bennett 1 0, Pfieffer 1 0.

Best for North: White with some great leadership under pressure, and was sadly missed when he went off. Gill who had a 100% on target effort kicking for goal today, Whyman who lifted North with a great goal at the start of the third and inspired them to to out score Centrals for most of the half.

What a great comeback by North. down came the rain and we lifted to hold Centrals to just 2 goals in 2 qtrs of footy. Whyman led the way kicking as many goals in the 2nd half as the entire so called benchmark team of the comp. Centals just couldn't handle Norths intensity and were forced to kick point after point and only but for a little bit of indiscipline in the 2nd qtr, the scoreline could have looked completely different.

North maintained thier KPI's for the 8th successive game and Centals should think themselves very lucky that North had White injured at half time. With Alleway returning next week, norths assault on the top 3 will be back on track.

this defensive game plan that north play with arguably the best forward line list going around going to end the reign of the coach ? because it simply isn't working, i believe in the north changerooms at prospect there are signs up stating 'defence wins premierships' (or similar), imho while defence is very important if you don't try & kick more goals than the opposition you'll invariably fail, today sounded like central were never ever going to lose, perhaps if north attacked it may've been a different story
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

That's a little unfair......Nick also managed to hit the target when shaking his opponents hand after the game ;)

....but do respect James Allan enormously.....saw him chucking his guts up outside the change rooms at half time and suggested he have a hot shower, get changed, and join us in the clubrooms to watch the telly....

he responded with "just an umbrella and two of what your having thanks" :D

Brilliant

Could it be that difficult?
Get the ball off the opposition
Kick towards the goal
Run after it.

We've gone from run, run, run to defend, defend, defend. Surely there must be a middle ground somewhere
