Reserves
Norwood continue to steer away from the rest of the competition, comfortably taking care of Port Adelaide by 22 points.
A 6 goal to 2 3rd quarter increased their 17 point half time margin to 41 points at the last change. Port Adelaide put some respectability back on the scoreboard in the last quarter, kicking 5 goals to 2 to cut the margin back to the final 22 points.
Regular senior players Tim Nicholas and Stephen Bailey led the way for the legs, whilst key forward Brad De Vries kicked five goals for the afternoon.
The Magpies lacked a regular target up forward and were too small in defence. Young Joel Montgomerie was best on field for the Pies, whilst Clayton Crabbe and Peter Mann also played well.

Seniors
A Jeremy Clayton inspired Port Adelaide has thrashed Norwood for the second time this season, finishing an even 10 goals in front of the Redlegs.
Back in the side this week, Clayton was everywhere for the Magpies and was the catalyst of their match winning third quarter, a quarter in which the Magpies piled on 7 unanswered goals to seal the match.
In scenes similar to that of the first clash this season between the two clubs, Port Adelaide came out of the blocks faster and more determined and kicked the first five goals of the match.
Mark Dolling opened the scoring with a great goal from deep in the Alan Scott HQ pocket and was followed by goals to Daniel Elstone, James Meiklejohn, Clive Waterhosue and Mark Clayton who started up forward.
Norwood finished with the last two goals of the quarter through Adam Cockshell and Stuart Bown.
The second quarter saw the Redlegs work their way back into the contest. By halfway through the quarter they were only two goals behind and the Magpies were starting to falter. The Magpies steadied with two of the last three goals of the quarter and went in 15 points in front at the main break.
Norwood could have been in front if it wasnt for missed opportunities in front of goal. The main culprit was Adam Cockshell whos kicking was deplorable, despite having two goals to half time. He should have had five, missing three shots from directly in front by a long way. Bryce Campbell had worked his way into the match after a slow start, whilst Brett Zorzi and Heath Culpitt were playing well. Nick Lower took two courageous marks backing into a pack in defence in the first quarter.
Cameron Ilett and Jeremy Clayton were leading by example for the Magpies, whilst John Baird was marking everything in defence.
Similar to the Port v Glenelg clash a month ago, Port came out after the break an inspired outfit. They kicked seven unanswered goals in a 20 minute period and finished the match as a contest. James Meiklejohn started to get well on top of John Meeson in the ruck (who was dragged after Ports fourth centre clearance in the first 8 minutes led to their fourth goal) and started to find Jeremy Clayton and Daniel Elstone with ease. Luke Slattery came on and made an impact, whilst Mark Dolling kicked his 2nd goal for the match.
They were 59 points in front before Bryce Campbell kicked his second goal to end the quarter for the Redlegs.
The goals in the last quarter went back and forth. Norwood tried hard to peg back the margin on the scoreboard but the Magpies seemed to have an answer everytime. Corey AhChee kicked the last goal of the match, capping off a strong display at CHF.
Jeremy Clayton was far and away best on ground for the Magpies today. He had a strong first half but was everywhere in the third quarter. He would have had near 15 disposals for the quarter and also kicked a goal. Mark Clayton, Daniel Elstone and Clive Waterhouse kicked 3 goals each for the victors. John Baird was excellent at CHB, Troy Butcher found a lot of space across half back and the wings whilst Meiklejohn won the rucks. Mark Dolling showed he could have a senior career with some fine touches up forward.
There were a few standouts for Norwood but they lacked consistency across the ground. Bryce Campbell kicked three and was the Redlegs best. Adam Cockshell also kicked three but could have easily had five or six had his kicking been anywhere on target. James Gallagher was solid whilst Brett Zorzi played well from defence.
Port 5.2 / 8.5 / 15.8 / 20.10 (130)
Norwood 2.3 / 5.8 / 6.9 / 10.10 (70)
