Split Round? - WTF!?

Why do you need a split round when there already is a bye?

Also compensates for the week off for the state game the players usually get.

I hope Glenelg puts its hand up next year for it. You don't realise what a leg up you've been given by the SANFL in the run to the finals. Two weeks to freshen up players physically and mentally after they've been going hard at it since November, absolute gold.

If you don't have a split round, you have to either fit an extra bye in for every team or change the number of rounds.
