Chad is undergoing procedures to insert a screw/plate into his fractured finger and repair the tendon in the adjacent finger. Out for the rest of the season? Unavailable for the Bays run to the finals.

Given he can't qualify by the Stuart Cochrane method of playing SANFL while the power play finals and he need to play a few more games to qualify (unless I'm mistaken) I really don't imagine Port rushing him back just to play SANFL finals. Season over for sure IMHO, not just for the run into the finals.

Personally I'd be surprised if Kane goes to GC. He seems very family orientated and happy in SA.

Given Gold Coast have ruled out Akker on the basis that he doesn't fit their recruiting priorities - young footballers to develop over five years - I hardly think they are going to want Cornesy

I'd be surprised if Chad plays another AFL game.

No real loss for the Bays, im sure they never counted on having him come finals. Would have loved to see Sutherland run through him though.

The Cornes' boys are nearly at their used by date in the AFL. They might go to GC, but only to surf.

As a crows supporter watching Chad, I've been surprised at how quickly he's dropped away.
He's used his body as a battering ram and I'd suggest its all caught up with him..
Will be remembered as a great player for Port - should have won a BandF or 2 (when Kane keeps winning them for getting 40 loose touches)
Especially after watching him as a kid, thought he was gonna be terrible.
Probably done - if so great career Chad!
...better than any of us blokes on here

Love him or hate him, he has given great service to the Power.

Port Power should get a sperm sample off Graham Cornes
Keep it in storage and then clone from it in the future
G CORNES
C CORNES
K CORNES
Just a senstaional family trio of footballers
Of the 3 perhaps Graham was the best footballer, if not the more spectacular

I would agree mal.
Mum Pam wasn't a bad player either.

Graham made an interesting comment last night. He said the reception and atmosphere at Alberton was far different to that of the Bay last Saturday, where many Glenelg supporters were getting stuck right into Chad. As opposed to the Magpies supporters seeming more good natured about their banter, yet still embracing Chad as one of their own, even in the opposition guernsey.
