such a true statement...we cant hide the fact that we are undermanned in the key forward and back positions, but we have been let down on too many occasions by our sr players...add to that the loss of coad for 5 weeks and we are stretching it big time...
even more jrs to stand up this week...all the better for 07 tho

That may be from a Central viewpoint, but IMO this is a massive game for the Eagles. We always seem to just get pipped on percentage and lose top spot to Central, which would give us a week off. Last year it was this game that cost us top spot (if only Lindsay kicked that goal from the top of the goal square at half time!!!) and it may well be the same this week. Having played in every week of the finals for the last couple of years, a weeks break at that time of year could be a blessing. The two games between North and South and Central and Eagles are hugely important games and could go a long way in determining where each of these teams finishes after Rd 23.
