BAYMANS computer has gone blink and he has asked me to
post this about Stephen Rowe.

How can the assistant Glenelg coach go to Melbourne on
sunday to commentate for 5AA, instead of coaching the
Bays v South today.

Where are Rowes priorities?

BAYMAN has suggested he could have swapped shifts and
perhaps commentated the AC V HW game.

I personally think Rowe should be coaching Glenelg.

A similar thing occured today in the AFL with Wayne Carey doing special comments on the Bulldogs V Blues games, while Collingwood were playing the Dockers at the same time and he is a forward coach at the Pies.

there are obviously arrangements in place to cover these clashes...at the end of the day the Media would be paying much more than their coaching gigs.

Rowe did give a "go the bays" after a round the grounds score update!

Look at it this way,if you were Mark Mickan, would you be complaining about Rowe not being next to you in the coaches box?

If you're not happy with it, blame the club, not the man ... He's looking after his livelihood and obviously has contractual arrangements with each party, his component of which with the club must allow it!

So do I.
South would've won yesterday.

Common this is just rubbish. Its no different than if he was working outside the industry and had to travel away for work - of course his "day-job" in the media has to come first. That's what pays the bills.

The reality is that at SANFL level pretty much everyone involved has to give priority to their main income stream at some stage. Clubs understand that.

Must admit I thought exactly the same thing as the first post when tuning into 5AA to hear a bitter coverage of the Cats v Power game.
How hard would it have been to do the Crows game on the Saturday at home instead?
Obviously doesn't want to be at the Bay.

Exactly. The bloke needs to make a living. You know, to pay the mortage, feed the family etc (all that boring stuff).

Darren Jarman has missed 2 North games this year due to other commitments - we won both so it had little impact and I would think he would be more valuable to North than that "idiot" Rowe would be to Glenelg.

Pity he didn't give up his media commitments for his coaching commitments as he is the biggest offender on radio as far as slaughtering the Queen's English! They must have been desperate for media talent the day he came knocking on the door for work - maybe he has some compromising photos of 5AA Executives because on "media savy" he is the pits!

This from a man whose club's Senior Coach didn't attend the reserves grand final last year.

Apparently Wildy needed the weekend off calling for 5AA, Dittmar did both games and KG is not one to fly unless he absolutely has to, so probably had to be Rowe. No big deal as I see it, I am sure it was part of the arrangement when he was employed. There are enough other coaches to cover it.

I agree with you comments Drebin.
Just call what is happening. I think he might appeal to the old Ladies who listen to AA

well ROWE should have been in the coaches box, its clear where his priorities are, but on the otherside of things it was probably a GREAT thing that he was in MELBOURNE because he wasnt on hand to personally screw up the midfield.

ROWE - KEEP GOING TO MELBOURNE EVERY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
