What I would give to roll the Hybrids at Unley this week....

With the wooden spoon now all but avoided, I am almost prepared to lose the majority of the remaining games JUST to get a victory over WWT. It's been three years since we last knocked off the boys from Oval Ave and to be perfectly honest, I've just about had enough of them!

North supporters would be pretty happy with a Sturt win on Sat., unfortunatly, I don't give you much of a chance.

MST, what makes you think that Sturt can beat us. Only beaten us 9 times in what almost 16 years. Sturt are not good enough at the moment to beat the Eagles this weekend.

Only 3 years? Trying being a Legs fan, we haven't beaten the Eagles since 2002 IIRC  :(

I never said Sturt will beat your mob champ? If you read the post again you will understand I am hoping for a victory rather than predicting one.

Nine victories over sixteen years is an ordinary stat, but hey, haven't the Eagles only won one Premiership from 'what' six attempts? I know which unwanted record I would prefer.

The tide will turn sooner or later little fella, maybe not this week, but it will turn because that is the cyclical nature of football.

Now haven't you got some water bottles to go and fill? :-$

Eagle fans are a bit touchy!! Even i noticed he said he would like to beat you, never said he would.

As Ian mentioned above, it would be fantastic for the Roosters if Sturt pulled off a huge upset.

I can never get enough of beating Sturt. Can already predict the top 5 excuses as to why Sturt lost on the weekend:

1) The umpiring was atrocious. Have not seen such a poor display of umpiring in all my 52 years of watching senior football. They were biased beyond comprehension.
2) We would have won had we not been riddled with injuries and the loss of senior players.
3) We were playing mighty well until the rain came down at the 11 minute mark of the first quarter when a member in the stand reminded us all of the victory over West Adelaide last week. Had the dry conditions remained I expect we would have run out winners.
4) How can we expect to compete with sides who have established pokies. Just you wait until Bar Zaar gets going and then we'll show you who's boss.
5) The effort for last weeks thrilling victory, combined with a day less break was too much to overcome for our proud players and loyal supporters.

You would want to be hoping the "unthinkable" doesn't somehow choose this week to occur ...

Constance, if and I mean if we happen to pull off an upset [-o< , Aerie will be the first poster I will log in and 'say G'Day' to, so to speak!!

Stranger things have happened and we will have gained some confidence after last week's effort.

They are due for a downer too.

God it was bad enough this week with Sturt beating West - look how excited they have all got! If they win this week then watch out as the Sturt bandwagon get's rolled out of the storage shed.

For those Sturt fans who listened to RPH this morning Paul Blandis and Phil Herden give you a "silly" chance of stilll making the finals. God help us if that happens imagine what a trio sturtpeter, jimmy and MST will be on these forums!!!

7) It is very hard to beat 36 players on the field (i.e. 2 clubs)

What was "angry" about my last post??? Try and use more appropriate terminology to describe my posts because they haven't been angry just sarcastic (that is if you have the brain capacity to do so - mate! ) I said the same in my reply to your "angry" taunt on Footysa!?
